This B&B was exceptional in every way. Spacious and airy, very clean, most comfortable bed (!!!!), great breakfast, beautiful grounds, and an architectural gem - just perfect. Hosts were attentive, very hospitable, and knowledgable - very accommodating as we had a late arrival due to a delayed flight. We've stayed in a lot of nice B&B's over the years- and Gillen House would have to rate among the very best. The house is also on the National Register of Historic Places - which is a big plus for us. The countryside is beautiful, and only a short distance from Athens.
Super way to start your trip in Georgia. Close to Athens, in a quiet beautiful place. You almost see Scarlett heading up the drive in her carriage. Host was very welcoming and we simply had a great experience here. Very much recommended!
