We only visited Disneyland while we were in Anaheim so I cannot comment too much about the area. There is a Costco in Fullerton, nearby, with gas, and that was convenient since we drove from Las Vegas.

It was just a 4.2 mile drive from the Days Inn to the five-story parking lot at Disneyland for day pass holders, which offers a comfortable train-like shuttle, both arriving and departing, between the parking structure and Disneyland's front gate.
We also enjoyed dining at the "Bubba Gump Shrimp Company" restaurant, at 321W. Katella Ave., Suite 101, Anaheim, CA 92802. Located about a half-mile from Disneyland, it's got great, moderately-priced seafood, and burgers, etc., especially if you get a bowl of Gumbo.
And, there are cool pix on the walls from the famous movie, Forest Gump, that it was designed to mimic. And friendly waiters too!

Staying in Anaheim often means going to the Convention Center or Disneyland.
For those, the Hilton and Marriott have the best access, but the Clarion Anaheim is a less expensive place to stay in almost the same location.
The building is old, but not unpleasantly so. I liked the historical taste of the floors and pillars.
The room furnishings are not bad, and the space is adequate. I especially appreciated the spacious desk (note that some rooms do not have desks).
The staff was courteous, not excessive or lacking in service.
Kind staff and about a 7-10 minute walk to the entrance of Disneyland and California Adventure. They had free coffee and tea in the morning which was nice before heading to the park! Room was big and clean!
Nearby there were some places to get food if you want to save money by not eating lunch/dinner at the park. Even more places if you are willing to drive down the street, don't worry though guests have free parking!
PS You can literally see the backboard of Cars Land from the hotel, it is THAT close to Disneyland.
Location was perfect. Walking distance to Disneyland and we could see the fireworks from the hotel.
Vallet parking was an added bonus, they even charged our electric car for us! Room was absolutely beautiful, very clean, great views and the bed was very comfy. Bathroom was big, clean and the shower was great! We would stay here again and again!
Great location near Disneyland. Staff was friendly and helpful. FREE PARKING INCLUDED even up to 6pm on check out day. Location felt safe as solo traveler. Room was fairly clean. Clean bedding/towels. Microwave and mini fridge were nice to have. Bed was fine, I prefer softer but it was decent, and lots of pillows provided.
The proximity to restaurants and Disneyland was GREAT. We ended up having breakfast as IHOP, which was next door, and Disneyland was just across the street. The price was a whole lot less than staying at one of the resort hotels. If you are on a budget, this is a good place to stay.

We chose this hotel because it was near Disneyland. The staff and facilities were great! It is one of the best hotels we stayed. We felt home and comfortable. We extended another day. The morning snack bar was great.
