We spent only a day to run around Truskavets and Drohobych.
We spent only a day to run around Truskavets and Drohobych. It was fun and interesting. We enjoyed driving up into Skidnytsa and visiting sites in the Carpathians. This was an easy drive and we used a rental car we got in Lviv from Budget rent a car. The war has no significant impact on these areas and they are very safe in 2023. I will include a picture of St. George Church in Drohobych which was interesting and a UNESCO world heritage site.

Truskavets is a nice city.
Truskavets is a nice city. It has good shopping and great restaurants. The hotels are very basic. Most of the staff at these places don't speak any English or very limited. They don't have English menus either.

Perfect place for the SPA holiday (drinking special mineral water Naftusya), nice Ukrainian food, fresh air and in general very nice place.

I the past this spa resort has seen better days for sure, but it is quickly regaining it`s power. Very good value for your money and highly recommended for a little adventurous traveler. It is a sort of health and SPA „las vegas“ of Ukraine.

If you want to see a Soviet-style spa town, you have to go to Truskavec. It has all the modern amenities, restaurants, hotels etc., but also some old-style socialist hotels (which have some special shabby chic) and most impressive thing - "mineral water buffet" - a large , long and narrow pavillion building, resembling train station, with dozens of pipes from where you can get very healthy mineral water to drink. Two sorts of water - one smells like petrol, the other like rusty nails with rotten eggs. But they are really good for your health. Really cool town for one-day stop, or at least couple of hours.
It was a surreal but enjoyable experience. The hotel was empty and dimly lit, powered by generators, while the adjacent medical centre was without electricity for much of the day because of outages caused by strikes on Ukraine's energy infrastructure. Yet everything functioned smoothly, all services were provided and the buffet dinners in the restaurant on the first floor were so delicious, diverse and elegantly served they will forever top my personal list of the best hotel meals.
It is a picturesque old house located in the private sector of the town. The administrator is so kind that I felt like she was my relative ;-)
My room was on the 2nd floor right under the roof. It had 2 beds and one sofa. Space is more than enough.
You'll have clean linen and a big towel.
The kitchen has a refrigerator, a microwave, an electric teapot, a gas stove.
You can sit on the large balcony: drink, eat, work there.
The toilet and a shower room are separated.
Beautiful luxury hotel with nice facilities and friendly helpful staff! The hotel was extremely clean. This was amazing how clean they managed to keep the hotel when it was fully booked and there were so many guests. This was impressive. For this I would give 10 star rating!
My standard room with a nice balcony was very spacious. The bathroom was good size with a nice bathtub.

The room was cosy and clean. The restaurant was also nice as well as service. Meals, including breakfasts were quite various, delicious and healthy.
The electricity and internet are just amazing. Despite the blackouts in the whole country, there wasn't a single sign of them.

Ive booked the room for four people, including kids, and in the hotel staff asked me to pay extra value. So, totaly Ive spent $200, with lanch cost $50, per day without night stay. I don’t know who’s problem is it, booking.com or hotel stuff… But by the way…$200 per day?! ))) In Truskavets… Not even 3 stars hotel?! )))))
Staff was lovely and very helpful, they made sure their guests were enjoying the stay. Location and the design of the complex itself is creative and worth checking out. SPA facilities and services were of a great quality as well. We were immensely satisfied with cosmetological procedures and massages.
The location is perfect, service is great. The hotel has its own mineral water station inside and health facilities. Also, there are everyday entertaining activities, such as morning yoga, evening gatherings with live music etc. I think the price-quality ratio is optimal
Staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was nice, restaurant on lowest floor had really good food. The whole hotel is very spacious so for those who go there for a week for medical procedures it was probably convenient.
