It is right in the center of Stonetown, walking distance to everything. All three rooms have bathrooms attached. Mosquito nets were very helpful. Property manager Romain was very accommodating and attentive! We appreciated all his help arranging cab rides, etc at good rates

Angel went over and above to help us get the most out of our 2-night stay. She organized a spice tour, got us a great exchange rate, and arranged affordable transport to the hotel from Jambiani and most importantly, to our international flight out of Dar Es Salaam. She also personally took us to eat lunch at the popular Lukmaan restaurant, see the fish market, negotiate for spices, and even to visit an artists' studio. Centrally located, her B&B is walking distance to every venue in Stone Town and easy to find despite the winding streets because it's behind a well-known music academy. The room was cute, bed comfortable, and breakfast simple but delicious. We were happy to support this woman-owned business!

The room was clean and decorated nicely. The location is very good it’s a close walk to the downtown. I felt the room was secure as the room bolted as well as the exterior door. There are restaurants in the area.

Great location right by the ferry and within 10 minutes walking of almost all of old Stone Town. Alex and Kassim were both very kind and helpful, and our room was clean and had air conditioning.

Stone Town was adorable, easy, and fun to walk around! There were lots of good restaurants, shops to poke your head into, hotels with rooftop bars, and interesting history and architecture. The main market is packed with spices, nuts, fruit, and more, and is very interesting without being too overwhelming.

Stonetown could be very crowded and you will have the locals...
Stonetown could be very crowded and you will have the locals trying to sell things, to be your guide, to take you on tours but apart of all this hassle is a really nece and safe place to visit.
You will be in contact with locals, with their culture and you will be able to bargain the prices.
We went to Lukmaan restaurant, is a buffet you eat very well and is cheap. You can choose between octopus, fish, meat, rice, vegetables etc everything that you can imagine.
For the bar I will suggest Tatu, is a bar with 3 floors with a really nice view to the sea and the beers was cheap 5000tz and is near sunset bar African house hotel you can't miss it.
