Jaribu Beach Hotel was my last stop before I returned home. It was the perfect place to relax and decompress a few days after six weeks of traveling! I loved my room and the view. The grounds were beautiful with colorful blooming plants. The swimming pool was inviting and enjoyable. I enjoyed the beachfront on the Indian Ocean and the sound of the waves and cooling breeze. The restaurant was great for hanging out with a drink and a good book, and the food was very good. Rachel and all of the staff were professional and friendly. I enjoyed chatting with them all. If I visit Zanzibar again, I will definitely stay at Jaribu Beach Hotel.

If you enjoy more of a tourist and party atmosphere this is probably the place for you
I personally prefer the more relaxed atmosphere where the staff are not so ‘on top’ of you
I booked 2 suits unfortunately one was on top of the bar and kitchen so it was quite noisy until midnight
The second suit was bottom floor access to the beach but the beach beds were full of clothes just dumped there
When I mentioned it I was told that it was ok
Not really very good for 2 suits for 500€ a day
Needless to say the next day we changed hotels to a more relaxed one more to my liking
Not to say that the hotel was bad just not for me

Paje is more chill and relaxing than in the north.
Paje is more chill and relaxing than in the north. Best place for kite surfing. The tide can influence the possibility of swimming therefore if you want beach/sun/swimming you better choose north, Kendwa.

Pajde is a small village, BUT you can find everything there.
Pajde is a small village, BUT you can find everything there. ATM, bars, beach kitesurf mostly. If you want to party all night then it might not be your place. If you love watersports and laid-back people then you are in the right spot. Visited Nungwi, but preferred Paje.

Good nice beach front . A very authentic scenery ,see farming and fishing going on.excellent if you like kitesurfing .Restaurand and cocktails bars ave plenty full. Good for see food
The main road of town is lively with shops restaurants .
On the other end It is full of beach boys and girls constantly hassling you.

On our first day in Paje, the winds were quite strong, making it less suitable for leisure. Most of the local activities centered around kite surfing. So, if you're hoping for calm beachside strolls, Nungwi in the north is a better choice. Additionally, the tidal patterns here differ from what we're used to in the Northern Hemisphere. The tide comes in during the day and recedes in the evening. We once found ourselves stranded on the beach due to the swift rise in tide. It's something to be mindful of if visiting.
The breakfast at the Kinazi Upepo was the best breakfast we had during our two weeks on Zanzibar! They have soy milk, granola, and maple syrup - all things we couldn't get anywhere else for the free breakfasts at other hotels on the island! It was also the best free gym we visited, very well equipped and with a very helpful personal trainer. You also get access to the pool and facilities of the mother hotel (The Nest), which is only about 7 minutes away by foot. The pool there is amazing and we enjoyed that option a lot!
There really isn’t anything not to love about this place. The location is absolutely perfect right in the middle of one of the most gorgeous beaches in Zanzibar. The staff was beyond welcoming and set up a dinner and anything we wanted. The rooms were huge and well appointed.
If you are a kite boarder you have reached your heaven. If you just want to lay on the beach or by a crystal clean pool then… pure bliss.
Breakfast every morning was delicious and served with a smile. We can’t recommend this wonderful place enough.
Incredible place in the most vibrant village in the south-east coast of Zanzibar. All necessities are easily accessible and in a near proximity, as well as the stunning Paje beach.
The owner is amazingly friendly and helpful, as well as all stuff, they are willing to go an extra mile to make your staying really special and also giving you feeling that this really IS : Your Zanzibar place!!! Superb chilling in the garden and amazing vibes in a bar will also make me come back for sure!

The bed was mega comfortable and soft, everything is exactly as in the pictures. The bathroom is very beautiful and awesome mirror is on the wall 😄
They have their own monkey and the child had a lot of fun playing with him. The hotel is located on the beach, so the beach is 1 minute away. I highly recommend going there 🤩
The rooms and hotel are tugged away from the beach in a lovely little oasis with palm trees and the pool. That made it very private and comfortable. The restaurant servers the best food in Paje and it is decently priced as well. The staff was always helpful and accommodating if we had any inquiries or problems. Seemed like nothing was to big to be unsolvable, you just need to embrace polepole (island-time).
The breakfast was tasty. Beach front view of the restaurant is excellent. I spent most of my time there. Very nice staff that became friends like Adam, Mary, Janet, Ben and the whole team in general. Best view I got in my whole stay in Zanzibar. Always go for the beach view room. I could see the ocean from my bed. The best bed I slept in on my whole trip after visiting 2 other hotels.
Everything was perfect but the aircon not working, was very hard to sleep at night.
Beside that place is amazing , very peaceful, close to the beach, food is INSANILY GOOD!! Best chef in Paje
Everyone is very nice and very helpful, they constantly check on aircon, electricity and fridge but in zanzibar the all situation about power is a bit out of their control.
Very clean room, the cleanest in all locations we have been in Zanzibar. Good breakfast with good coffee, not instant. Just 1-2 min walking from beach. Very quiet. They were spraying for insects every evening.
We felt safe and very welcomed in this accommodation. Would definitely recommend and return here.

Very good located beachfront hotel with a restaurant inside, the rooms are nothing special, just usual bungalows typical for Paje, but has all necessary stuff, bathroom, towels, toiletries. The rooms are cleaned everyday thoroughly. The breakfast is better than in most hotels in Paje.
Very well maintained, clean and boutique-like property. It was like an oasis in otherwise dirty and noisy Zanzibar. The staff was very welcoming. Granted an early check in and allowed us to store our luggage and shower for our 4pm departure. We really appreciated that!

Paje By Night is super close to the beach. It has a non attached beach lounge for hotel guests only which has food and drinks - it’s comfortable! The restaurant has fantastic food but is a bit pricy. An easy walk to many restaurants and shops!
