I happened to book the day after the big earthquake, and since a lot of people cancelled, they upgraded me to a better room. The hotspring baths are also nice and relaxing.

I loved my room - very spacious and I wish I had more time to make use of the balcony and sitting area. There were a lot of stairs, which I wasn't aware of when I booked but the staff were very helpful and helping to bring my (very heavy) luggage up. The bathtub was great and I appreciated having the neck pillow...it was the main reason why I decided to take a bath.

We only stayed one night while visiting this part of Taiwan. Our room was very large and the hotel is very cool in that the hot water is provided by hot springs and not a heater. . It is located in a very remote area with very little nearby. The facilities appear to be recently renovated. I believe there had been a landslide in the area just over 10 years ago and there was ongoing construction but far enough away that we only saw it on the drive to and from the hotel. Staff was very nice and the included breakfast buffet was good.
Cingjing Florence Resort Villa is a 3-minute drive from Small Swiss Garden and a 10-minute drive from Cingjing Farm. Free WiFi and mountain views are offered.

Think of it as a rustic hiking lodge and you’ll be pleased.
Nothing much to see at Qingjing. The farm was overrated, too many tourist, pathway was unkept, not meant to push a stroller & many steep steps. Only great for the cool weather. If you would want to visit, 1 night is more than enough

Cingjing Farm is worth a trip. It has beautiful scenery.
Cingjing Farm is worth a trip. It has beautiful scenery. The kids love feeding the sheep and it's a very pleasant outing for the family. Do not miss the horse show. It is very skilfully done by expert riders. The skywalk is also worth a trip to admire the rolling hills and tea plantations. From the southern end of the skywalk, you can continue to Carton King via a fenced walkway. Not too long a walk. However, Swiss Gardens was a disappointment. Not many flowers, the lake water level was so low, and algae filled. Honestly, not much to see.

The township sits above the clouds, which makes for some truly stunning views. Waking up for sunrise is a must.
If you approach via Taroko, do so a bit earlier depending on road closures. The sea of clouds on the way is phenomenal, its a long road and full of narrow hairpin turns.
Its a great place to enjoy the cooler temperatures than you get at sea level.

This area is very touristy and the infrastructure cant cope with the volume of people meaning the places we wanted to visit were simply over crowded. We went to do some walks but the sheer number of cars early in the morning meant we had no where to park so our main purpose for going was not possible - I real downside to the trip. The mountains are beautiful but too many tourists for anyone to get a wilderness experience.

The staff that greets our group was very friendly and polite. Explained in details about the house rules as well as when was the best time to view the sunrise and where to procure our food stuffs if needed. The room that we booked was spacious, clean, with balcony and toiletries are complete as what we saw in our booking. Simple buffet breakfast was provided but meeting our expectation. It was a good experience stay.

The fairly new cafe complex was excellent.
The fairly new cafe complex was excellent. We enjoyed a great but inexpensive meal in Balens. Also liked the visit to CingJing Farm - a great day out for all the family. Feeding sheep was great fun and the horse show was good. We all enjoyed the SkyWalk, too. Also through the hotel we were able to arrange a visit to Mt Henan which was well worth a visit.
Sadly it was too cloudy for star gazing. But we did see some stars at night. But an early morning sunrise tour would be grat if sky is relatively clear.
Exceptional value at this price point! The staff exuded warmth, the in-room hot spring was a wonderful oasis, and the recently renovated hotel gleamed with cleanliness. The breakfast spread was good, and the optional dinner surpassed expectations—especially in this remote town where dining options are scarce. A conveniently located vending machine outside offered a range of beverages, including a satisfying option for beer enthusiasts. Without a doubt, I will wholeheartedly recommend this gem to my circle of friends
We booked the eight seater guest room and it came equipped with a living room, a kitchen with utensils, gas stove, refrigerator, and microwave, and a huge deck at a throwaway price considering it was Christmas weekend. The host is very polite and helpful. The rooms are huge and clean. There is a breakfast shop and a Family mart (convenience store) next to the hotel. The view from the deck is breathtaking.
The room is spacious and clean, and the host is really hospitable. There is no lift, believe it is
the same for most of the hotels in this region. The host helped to bring the luggage up 3 levels. Our room is in the new block and the view although partially blocked but good enough. Star glazing happens every night at the room top in the new building.
Conveniently located not far from the bus-stops, but quiet environment. The Hotel is in Old English Style, the breakfast is really good and the hosts are very friendly - can recommend to stay there, also it seems to be one of the first and most traditional hotels in the now very touristic area of Taiwan
The owner is very kind and very supportive. He drove us back and forth from the hotel to the meeting point (Starbuck) where we can walk to Cingjing farm. And drove us to a bus station in the morning after checked out.
With this reasonable price, the beds even have heater! Absolutely best value.
We loved the room at this hotel. It was really spacious and a little unique. It had a great view from the balcony. The location was also very good. The road was a little busy, but we did walk down it to see some of the things nearby. There was also parking on the property that was easy.
great location near Qingjing farm (Upper entrance) - can walk to that easily without walking on the road much / at all - if you know the shortcut through the nearby public parking area. Plenty of hotel parking, large room, and super comfy bed. Lots of breakfast items.
The view is amazing, the environment is full of serenity. Booked during the winter in feb, and the hotel was very considerate as there was a warming pad on the bed that I can switch on if it gets too cold.
Nice and clean room, reception staff very friendly. Loved the big bed and balcony. Got a free upgrade.
The hotel is not freshly renovated but this should not stop you. Everything is in very good shape.
The scenery of balcony is beautiful. Breakfast room also looks stunning with great view. Enough variety of food.
Hotel also provides a tea house with great view for guests to relax in.
The hotel has a quaint cabin like feel to it. The staff were mostly friendly and the hot place attached to it is excellent. The whole family was happy with the place.
