Location is great in the sense that it’s on the main street but,as Lonely Planet says,it feels away from the crazy hustle bustle. Very reasonably priced, good value for money

Awesome view in the morning from the breakfast place. You can enjoy the landscape of Jiufen from the balcony while having a delicious breakfast. The rooms are located at different houses. If you're interested in experiencing a stay at a local home, this is the perfect spot. The room is cozy and clean. Located just minutes from the old street. The hosts were accommodating and friendly.

This place is awesome. Communication was strong and easy via Whatsapp with the owners. The room itself was lovely and had a great view of the ocean. It was admittedly small, but cozy! The water pressure was strong and hot, AC and WiFi worked well. They even provided snacks!
Set in Jiufen and with a convenient access to Jiufen Old Street, Cen pin B&B offers cozy guest room and free in-room WiFi. There is a sun terrace features great views of Jiufen.

The most comfortable bed I've had yet, and the nicest bathroom and shower as well. Thoughtful touches like free coffee and hot/cold water, nice common areas, great ac and hot water pressure. Absolutely great staff available by line, they are remote. You will need internet to get in to the building. You need line app if you don't have it.
Location is minutes to everything you want to do in Jiufen, and bus close by too. Easy to find. Though the town is almost all steps, this particular inn doesn't require any at it's by the road (but not loud).
Photos are accurate.
love the night scene. Shops closes too early. Its a dead town after 7pm. The Gold Museum is too under-rated. Its so interesting & a wonderful place to just chill apart from the educational activities.

I would have rated this a 10 for stay if it was just a tad easier to locate. In saying that, once the property was located, the location was perfect. Host was lovely and highly recommend this place. A very cosy, clean and comfortable stay.

If you don't like crowded areas, Jiufen is not for you.
If you don't like crowded areas, Jiufen is not for you. The Jiufen old street is so narrow that you can only take some few mini steps at a time. If you were to come here, I'd suggest you to book your stay in Jiufen for the night, come in the late afternoon, perhaps go on the night walking tour, and then enjoy the views and Jiufen Old street in the early morning before all of the tourists come flooding in.

We went to Jiufen in January (winter time).
We went to Jiufen in January (winter time). As malaysians, we immensly enjoyed the milder temperatures and the lack of rain during this time, considering we came form a hot, humid country with torrential rain on a daily basis.
So, our timing for visiting Jiufen was perfect for us. Jiufen can be quite crowded at times but our stay at night made all the difference. less crowd, magical red lights and the night market was amazing. It was famous for the Amei teahouse but i think Jiufen is more than that. To find gems in other things, I'd recommend staying in Jiufen overnight.

The village is absolutely charming, only need one night here. In the evening it gets very busy but the teahouse (Jiufen teahouse) was very quiet. Lots of interesting food to try. Incredible views. Lots of hiking trails nearby. Easy to get a bus from Taipei there and back (and cheap) - you just tap on and tap off with your card.

As I strolled through the winding narrow lanes, surrounded by souvenir shops, traditional snacks, sweet treats, and Taiwanese cuisine restaurants, I found myself immersed in the charm of an old market perched atop the mountain with a breathtaking view of the bay on the north coast.
The bustling market came alive, especially during the late weekend mornings when the narrow lanes echoed with the footsteps of tourists. To savor the experience without the crowd, I recommend arriving early and soaking in the authentic atmosphere.
A must-try activity is settling into a cozy terrace seat, sipping on aromatic oolong tea while gazing out at the panoramic beauty of the bay area. The tranquility of the moment adds a touch of serenity to the vibrant surroundings.
Accessing this hidden gem is surprisingly easy via public transport. Opt for a bus from Ruifang train station or downtown Taipei, Zhongli train station, making the journey convenient and delightful. With just an hour's travel from downtown Taipei, this mountain-top market promises a memorable escape from the bustling city life, offering a perfect blend of culture, cuisine, and scenic beauty.
I like owner and room. The owner is so kind helpful and friendly. She gave me a handmade Jiufen old street map. (I guessed she did it, so nice.) And suggested me the travel route.
Here is very close to Jiufen Old Street (far from 7-11 about 20 maters. You can spend your time at the street as much as you can.
The room is tiny but good for me. Anyway the stairs was narrow and doesn't have elevator.
Anyway I like this place and on the top floor you can see Juifen view at night. It's so good.
This hotel was fantastic and exceeded our expectations! The view is worth every single dollar! The staff were friendly and helpful, even when i needed to use google translate, they were still happy and helpful! The room was beautiful and the bed was comfy, but the view is so special. Their breakfast was super delicious as well. We ordered it once and after eating we immediately ordered it for the next day!! Thank you to this hotel for making our stay in Jiufen extra special!
Great location on top of the mountain with great view. Jiufen Old Street is within walking distance and all sightseeing places can be visited by foot. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was great too and the breakfast room and terrace also has a great view.
The car park near the basketball field was occupied, but the car park next to the fire department hads a spot. Both are within walking distance to the B&B.
Small B&B hosted by Mrs. Kao. Conveniently located nearby the major bus stop, the town's 7/11 and the entrance of Jiufen's old street. Mrs. Kao was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the local spots. My Taiwanese mother still speaks very highly about our stay here.
INFO for guests: The breakfast voucher is for a Taiwan sandwich shop 2 houses down from the B&B.
The view from balcony is superb but the balcony is a bit dirty. Room size is right for us. Location is nice down the hill but it's kinda cons for elder who need to climb the stairs. For teenagers, it's fine and a bit isolate from busy jiufen. Staff at the hotel is very nice and helpful though English is not their forte.
Such a nice place to stay in Jiufen. The view from our room was magnificent. The location was great and walking into the old section of town takes you by temples and interesting things to see. All bath amenities were in the room. Pack light because space is limited in this village.
Jiufen is such a gem and we liked to stay at H& Jiufen the Dragon Inn in order to enjoy the city by night and its calmness in the morning. The establishment is very well located and has got a nice view. The neighborhood is also quiet.
Breakfast was good, they allow you to choose what you want on a menu when you arrive. There were many fruits in the breakfast. The place is calm and nice, and there is a view from the window. Pretty close to Jiufen old street.
Breakfast was fantastic and the room was clean. The television had Netflix so the kids were entertained when staying in the room at night. The best part was the friendly and welcoming staff. I will recommend this hotel.
Staff were quick to respond and helped with contacting taxi before their office hours. Easy to get to and from Jiufen Old Street. Staff provided helpful email for directions on arrival and check in. Bed was comfortable
Excellent breakfast. Short walk from bus to/from Taipei on road (without having to climb lots of steps). Old Street is nearby up the steps. Clean room with dehumidifier as Jiufen can be rainy and damp.
It was conveniently located close to the bus stop from Ruifang Station, and Convenience store, Jiufen Old Street.
The owner of the inn was very flexible and I was able to communicate almost via LINE.
First Impression
-good location close to Jiufen old street (5min by walk)
-neat and clean lobby room which leads to the small appartment like rooms
Room
