- We stayed in a beautifully-appointed cave room with big beds, spacious enough for a family of 5.
- Önder, our host, was super helpful from first contact and during our stay, proving us with lots of useful local information. All staff were very kind and courteous throughout.
- Great location just a few minutes walk from Uchisar castle, and a short drive from Göreme (we rented a car and there we always parking available on the street).
- The breakfast was amazing !! Best-ever homemade jams, eggs cooked to order, bread, cheeses, and a large sampling of Turkish delicacies (eg. sweet chickpea butter which the kids loved) as well as western staples (eg. Nutella)… and the view from the breakfast terrace is absolutely incredible !

It has an amazing boutique hotel experience. The best part was its location which is right at the base of Uchisar castle. More importantly the hosts Burak and Mustafa were super helpful! They went above and beyond to meet all our sight seeing needs and make us feel comfortable. The breakfast was probably the best we have had among all the hotels we stayed during our Turkey vacation. Mehmet is a great host, very friendly and helpful. We were in touch with him from last month since our stay regarding what tours and hot air balloon ride and he was super accomodating and available to answer all our queries, it didn't feel that we met him for the first time when we actually arrived. We didn't spend much time here, but easy flight from Istanbul. Convenient for the balloon rides, but not directly in the town they fly from. A preferable location if you want a little more peace and quiet, and enough choices for dining. Lovely to walk around and spectacular views from many parts.

Uchisar provides great access to all the sights of Cappadocia. Our stay at La Casa offered the perfect mix of cave/building and was in a great location. The breakfast was excellent. The close by Janti Cafe is also excellent, highly recommend. One thing to note is that google gets a bit confused with the one way streets, but once you get the hang of navigating in Uchisar, it is very easy to get around and you can see the castle from many of the nearby hiking areas.

It worked great for us.
It worked great for us. We had a rental and wanted to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the busier Goreme. If you don't have a car and are staying in Cappadocia for the first time, perhaps Uchisar is not the best option since it will limit your walking distance options of restaurants, shops and tour agencies, we loved it though and found it to be the perfect homebase to explore the region. It seems like some of the more exclusive hotels and restaurants are also in Uchisar so it depends on what works best for you.

Small town area next to the rock castle. Quiet, with lots of restaurants. The top of the mountain has more shops and art galleries to see along with cafes. Once you step out of the area it is mostly desolated and filled with caves. There is lots of new construction going on in the peripheral area. We ate at the statehouse around our hotel and it was great. A bit expensive but gourmet like treatment. The open air museum is only 10 min away and the castle is right in the center of Uchisar. Slightly away from the crowd of Goreme, Uchisar was just right. The property was close to the castle which made it convenient. The pigeon valley entrance is a km on foot so makes for a great walk. Personally between Goreme and Uchisar, I preferred Uchisar as it's quieter and had more luxe options. Also the views were amazing and we spent quite a bit of time sitting in the terrace taking in the country air.

Uchisar is an incredible small town with a beautiful medieval section that is wonderfully thriving. Clean, friendly, with laid back dogs roaming the streets, and the home of Uchisar castle. Pigeon Valley has its own mystique and overall the town touches something inside of you that makes you want to stay longer.
Excellent location right next to Uchisar castle. great view from the terrace, particularly for sunset. note that you wouldn’t be able to see hot air balloons/goreme from the terrace if that’s important to you - however it’s a 2 min walk to a great view point by the castle
Hilal was an excellent host, really went above and beyond to give us advice and help us organise a spa visit. the hot air balloon trip we booked through the hotel was perfect, with a responsible team and great views.
Hotel was in a great location in Uchisar, being able to view the balloons directly from the shared terrace outside the room. Also very quiet but only a few minutes walk from restaurants and the Main Street.
The staff were very helpful enquiring each morning at breakfast, if they were able to help with organising that days activities.
Breakfast itself was amazing with an array of wonderful local fresh produce, breads and any style eggs cooked to order.
We had amazing time in Mak’s Cave House. The property is very authentic and nicely decorated. Quite location close to all Uchisar attractions. Breakfast is a highlight - view is spectacular and homemade Turkish food is delicious. But the most important advantage of the hotel is stuff - amazingly welcoming and helpful they assisted us with setting up all our Cappadocia activities and provided valuable recommendations! Highly recommend.
The location is amazing. We chose the room with a balcony we could have Uchişar castel as landscape scenery and we could watch the baloon departure every morning. The hotel's restaurant is definitely one of the best in Uçhisar and the breakfast is wonderful. All the employees are very nice and helpful. I would recommend it if you want a peaceful place to enjoy Cappadocia. The room is comfortable and provides what is needed.

It is a small family run house that was converted into a hotel/guest house. It is conveniently located from restaurants and coffee shops. Hosts were nice and very friendly. On our last day in Cappadocia, we had to leave early so the host prepared our breakfast early so that we can make it on time to the airport. Very sweet and considerate host. Goreme is 5 km away (10 min taxi ride)
The moment we arrived at Cappadocia we are already fascinated by the views along the way to our hotel and by the time we reached the hotel at first I thought its smaller but when we entered the hotel we were stunned by how beautiful it was and the food they served in the morning is perfectly healthy and mouth watering.

Location is perfect. İt is beside the uçhisar castle. When you are having your breakfast you can enjoy the castles view. Breakfast is good. We visited at the time of snowing and worry about the hotel is cold. But it was too hot. We stayed family room. İt was comfortable, cozy and hot.

It is a nice, family hotel, owned and operated by a family. Very close to Uchisar Castle, which you can also see it from the hotel. The breakfast was all right, the staff was so friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean. We had hot tube in the middle of our room, however we did not use it as it would cause a mess everywhere, if we did.
The hotel is beautiful. It's one of those places that do not want to leave. The staff is always willing to help and they give you their best service. I don't know the other hotels in Cappadocia, but I am sure this is one of the best in the region.

Uchisar Kaya is always a soft place to land when I visit Cappadocia. They gave me the room that is my favorite to take balloon photos in the morning from the balcony. The view is stunning and unique in the world.
