We stayed in Mersin for one night, and were initially a little concerned booking this hotel after reading mixed reviews.
I’m pleased to say we needn’t have worried. We were greeted warmly despite our late night arrival at very short notice. A car parking space was provided, and our luggage helpfully taken to our rooms by the staff member at Reception. There doesn’t appear to a lift in the hotel, but that wasn’t a problem for us.
The room was clean, quiet and functional, and we had a good night’s sleep. We’d booked a non-smoking double room, and received one with a double bed, and 2 singles.
Free breakfast was included in the booking price. There was an adequate selection of cereal, bread, the usual Turkish cheeses, meat and salad. And a delicious soup.
Staff were attentive throughout the stay.

The reason I give them a low rating is that they persistently and despite my insistence refuse to issue me an invoice for the stay even though I paid directly to the hotel.

Firstly, the hotel room would have been 515 TL instead of the 1,000 I paid in advance on Booking. Better to get when there.
Nothing at all of interest. Even the only attraction, the 25 minute boat ride, was only 15 minutes including setting off and tying up. No beach.
No reason to be in Mersin. I ate the normal shish meal I often get but here the chicken still had bones in it!

Mersin was an interesting commercial port town well worth a visit. We thoroughly enjoyed our couple days there. We didn't see another tourist-type visitor during our entire time there! We feel like we discovered it!

Mersin is not a touristic place. No sightseeings at all. Only the long embankment is beautiful. We stood in this city only because we need an intermediate stop from Kappadokia to Antalya. However there are a lot of interesting places along the road to Antalya. But nothing in the city. Also difficult to find a good restaurant (we finally did).

Everything about this hotel is great! It’s a good deal for the price, in the middle of a great shopping street, 10 mins away from the beach.
The breakfast includes a good variety of Item.
The staff is exceptional! Always smiling and ready to help you. The manager, called Serdar is the best ever. He’s always present in the hotel checking that everything is going well with a smile on his face! Thank you for this lovely stay!
3 balconies in 1+1 room, clean, excellent sound isolation with the neighbors (all the time we thought there was no one else but us haha, but the hotel was full indeed!!), helpful reception girl (does not speak English, but uses google translator, so it helps to communicate without issues). Kitchen is equipped with kitchenware. we liked everything! and the hotel dog golden retriever is so lovely ❤️
I booked sultan hotel and after 1 hours they called to me that if you don’t have any girl partner(one girl and one boy) we cannot give you any rooms from sultan hotel and one of near hotel that is Kar hotel you can stay there we went there but they didn’t allow us to stay in the kar hotel too! They gave us old room from UĞUR HOTEL!
The location was excellent. The staff has called us before the arrival and gave us all necessary information. The rooms were very spacious and clean. The staff was very friendly and always ready to help. We have enjoyed our staying in this hotel very much and definitely it's the best choice if you plan to stay in Mersin.
Good simple hotel. Clean. There’s air conditioner in the room. Beds are OK. Shower works. Breakfast included. Good for staying for some days for business or for sleeping while spending a full day in the city. TV is in the room as well. 1-2 international news channels in English are available on TV
I had a great stay in Mersin. You stay in the flat of the owner, who is a great, helpful and kind guy. The whole apartment is clean and the bed is comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped. It's around 20 minutes to walk to seaside, which is totally fine for the price.
Everything was great. Big, clean and comfortable room, big and modern TV, bed very comfortable. Parking spacious and safe. We extended our stay. One of the best hotels, highly recommended. For sure we will come back. Thank you. Teşekkür ederim.
