This city has a calm but still very active atmosphere.

Lots of shopping options. Couple of really good parks.
Lots of shopping options. Couple of really good parks. The morning and night markets are really cool. I usually chilled at a park during the day, got a massage, grabbed food from UD Town and hit a bar. Was nice to end my long vacation on a relaxed note.

Provincial capital and robust market town. A solid middle class city not built on tourism. Udon Thani provides a much more authentic Thai experience than tourist hubs like Chiang Mai. Public transport is weak and it helps to be a vigorous walker. If you want an authentic experience, this is the place. But if you prefer a huge selection of shops, restaurants, cafes and night markets that cater to western tourists, Chiang Mai is your place. Personally, I like both and I’m now happy to be in Chiang Mai,shop browsing, munching and people watching.

We missed bathrobes and hotel slippers in the room.

hotel in midst of some renovations - room still needing work , bathroom had water damage on ceiling -plenty parking need more towel racks if swimming , no bed bedside lamps - quite tucked away from busy centre of city but not too far, adjacent to airport no noise, local side walk thai restaurants close by , plus 7 eleven if required , , had pool but like most t a bit heavy handed on the chlorine - breakfast included to satisfy most appetites- staff friendly , value for money and suited our needs

Udon Thani is my favourite city in Thailand .. It's food at all the open markets is to die for ... The people are so friendly and there is so much to do for day trips ... Love going back as it's a great city that i have been to many times ..
Can be easily reached on the main road to Udon Thani. Located next to 7/11 and small restaurants. Free parking, partially under sunroofs. Rooms, pool, premises etc. very clean. Hotel seems to be 10+ years of age, but very well upkept. Good AC and TV. Appliances and emergency routes up to code. Pool very clean and refreshing. Swimwear can be rented.
You get very much for a reasonable price at UDtel. Surpassed my expectations.
All the staff is very caring and friendly. Special thanks to the staff at the bar !
Very few people can speak good English but we always can overcome that.
Great location, nice swimming pool, and great equipments with sauna, hamamm and two pools (water at 18 Celsius and 38 Celsius).
Good restaurant and very cosy evenings with a great piano musician and singer !

Both the house and the city offer many attractions to plan several days for Udon Thani. Here I found a completely furnished home and enjoyed preparing fresh ingredients from the markets around. The loving neighbor and mother of the owner looked after me better than I know from many hotels. Thanks to her, I would have liked to stay longer and hope to return again.
I liked that the deluxe family room we stayed in was larger than expected and our kids slept in one room and my wife and I in the other. The beds were also comfortable. I also liked that the hotel was within walking distance (~3-4 min) to the Central Mall in Udon. The hotel was also very affordable given the larger room we stayed in
2nd time returning to the hotel, Will now be my first choice hotel in Udon Thani, Sarah and Pen super helpful and very polite, the whole FOH team are equally helpful. Can not say enough good things about the team.
We enjoyed the night at Kitlada Hotel, and very peaceful resting. Friendly housekeeping offered to help, I do appreciated that, just to hear the offering.
Staff are super friendly and the food is awesome. Pretty much my best stay in Thailand. Spacious room and lovely balcony. Breakfast is also outstanding.
