Lukmuang 2 Hotel, hotel in Phangnga

Set within 36 km of Wat Bang Thong and 39 km of Than Bok Khorani National Park, Lukmuang 2 Hotel offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Phangnga.

The restaurant owner and chef was super friendly. The coffee was amazing, true barista style. The food delicious. The whole restaurant is very modern and stylish, the rooms are rather shabby and outdated, clean though. The receptionist was completely clueless and not helpful at all, doesn't speak English....but the restaurant owner helped us out and is a great assett to the whole place.

You should visit the crazy (and a bit scary) Wat Tham Ta Pan Temple, which offers both a great cave and a super observation tower. In Somdet Phra Sinagarindra Park right in the city there are beautiful caves and wild monkeys. Phang-nga is also the best starting point for great boat trips to James Bond Island.

We will return to explore more of the area as soon as possible. The scenery is spectacular and the views are stunning. Easy access from several local piers to the many islands in Phanngnga Bay by longtail boat, well worth the trip.

see my Home Phang Nga Guest House Review. It's just wonderful and super authentic. Tons to do and see hardly any tourists, lots of lime stone caves, temples and access to Phang Nga Bay, Eco Elephants, adventure tours, National Parks, water falls. You name it you can access it from Phang Nga.

Take advantage of all the natural wonders this area has to offer. You simply must take a tour to James Bond Island through the mangroves. I only had 2 days and there was so much more I could have seen.

We enjoyed our stay in Phang Nga.

We enjoyed our stay in Phang Nga. We went to the local cave and Waterfall which we really enjoyed. At night they have a food market where the food is extremely delicious and affordable as well. If you are going to stay in Phang Nga town we highly recommend the Le Erawan Phangnga hotel. They opened 3 months ago and the facilities are great and have extremely friendly staff. We would recommend 2 to 3 nights stay will be enough to enjoy the sights.if you plan to do a James Bond Island tour we do not recommend M. T travels tour. A full day tour can actually have been done in half a day if the driver of the Longtail boat drove faster so most of the tour was spent sitting on a long tail boat. Phang nga is a very beautiful city. We also recommend to hire a scooter to get around easily and explore the city.

From the time we checked in the whole experience was amazing, with all the staff being first class, a small but very comfortable room with a great view of the bay.. We ate in the hotel and the food at dinner was really great and reasonably priced. We'd read that the breakfast was a poor quality buffet, it turned out to be a wonderful ala carte offering of a very high standard. Of course the main selling point of the hotel is the view, I have to say my high expectations were exceeded.

The staff were lovely - we had a very nice welcome, with an excellent description of all the restaurants and cafes in the area, and recommendations on where to go. It was nice being in a 'real' Thai town, and not the tourist environment of, for example, Phuket. The whole hotel had a nice modern 'designer' feel to it, but it also kept to the Thai-style. The coffee, tea and sweets in the morning were a lovely touch as well.

What a find ! Amazing boutique hotel with lots of character. Rooms were differently themed and with everything you could need. Toiletries, fridge stocked with soft drinks and beer, kettle, air con. Host couldn’t do enough, he sorted out trips and a moped even drove us to the supermarket and some local caves. This place is away from the main tourist resorts but well worth a visit as plenty to do and see.

The lady was amazingly kind, took us to the hotel when we were checking in late and cooked food from the kitchen after close as we were on the bus for a VERY long time, showed us the property and the fire flies and then again took us to the bus station the next day she was very hospitable and the view was gorgeous and her animals were very cute. I recommend this place even for a night it was lovely.

Very nice room, everything necessary is present. Good wifi connection, many plugs, good air conditioner. Super nice host, can arrange many things for you (trip around the bay), bus to next location, very available. Gives great tips on what to see around. Can rent a scooter from her for 200b to see around, was very good and functional. Supermarket just near by.

I had an amazing stay at Origin! The design was beautiful and the rooms were excellent. But what really stood out were the wonderful husband and wife owners - they were friendly, helpful and went above and beyond to make my stay special. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a unique and enjoyable stay in Phang Nga town.

The hosts are very helpful and accommodating here. It was easy to hire a motorcycle for traveling around Phangnga and from this central location (tucked away from the town up a little hill) there is fresh air and lovely mountain views. The room is spacious and comfortable. A homely guest house indeed.
