The owner was lovely and gave us great tips and travel advice, at reception the guy there offered us his bike to get around was so kind of him. the view from deck was lovely looking over the islands in the distance. 15min drive to old town and 10min from port which is why we stayed here as we were heading to phi phi the next day

WOW!!!! Amazing hotel, within the top 3 hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Rooms were amazing with a beautiful view, staff were very attentive and friendly. Food was absolutely amazing in the grove, wish we could of stayed longer to fully appreciate the hotel as it was so beautiful. A real gem in Phuket. We got engaged while staying in Phuket and it was the perfect place to stay while celebrating

It was a very refreshing stay in the property which was full of greenery and good views of beach from the huge balcony attached to the suite. Did not want to leave the property so early and definitely want to come back again.

An excellent hotel: we had a room on the 3rd floor with balcony, overlooking the garden and a view of the sea. Pleased there was a lift. The breakfasts were great with lots of variety. Staff were excellent, all of them, I use a walking stick and they always rushed to help me with steps, stairs and getting my breakfast. I can't praise them highy enough. The pool area was nice and well looked after and the "library" was a nice, relaxing large room where free tea, coffee and biscuits were provided; a good place to refresh after a few hours by the pool. The shuttle over to the sister hotel ran regularly and the beach was also over there, with lovely grassy surrounds, plenty of loungers and umbrellas and a nice restaurant and facilities. Back at Kantary Bay there were several local restaurants which we used, and liked them all. The night market along the beachfront was interesting although I was surprised they would not really bargain. There were many street-food stalls along there also, providing a good variety of food. We had 16 days at Kantary Bay and loved it - felt very relaxed after such a nice holiday.

It’s so far from the main city and the amount you pay for up and taxi can be used to stay in a better hotel in the city.
Rooms are very old .. looks like very old building fitted with some lights and a bathroom. They badly need to renew therooms. It has to be brightly lit.

Very disapointing I came with high expectations and they were not fullfiled:
1. The staff at the front desk were not friendly at all. I arrived after a long flight to Thiland and hardly a smile from any of the receptionists.
I was looking for some attractions to do and was looking through their book for about half an hour trying to decide what to choose. No one aproached or tried to help or offer advice. That happened twice.
2. It was my birthday, and a family member from
US waned to order a surprise cake for me. He called me up to ask if I got it, I had no idea what he was talking about, aperantly they just left it in the room fridge without notifying me at all + did no add the note he asked to print for me.
3. When I arrived I asked where can I change money. The receptionist said "turn right and walk 10 minutes" , the problem is after you start going right, there are 2options of turns and no one to ask as there is litrelly nothing around. They could be a bit more specific..
4. I had some ants in the room+ 2 baby spiders. I understand this is a tropical island and yet this is a 5 star resort.
5. There is no gegi milk option in the restaurant
for coffee. Only cow milk. I woul think in 2023 there ould be at least one other option for vegans.
6. There is more but I made my point..

My wife and I rate this beach experience as excellent for swimming (but not for surfing!), and although best not to swim at lower tides due to the exposed reef, medium and hight tides are excellent. It's safe , protected from the surf, and clean for kids and beginner swimmers. Best things are the great service provided by the KANTARY hotel (by a covered vehicle), departing every 15 minutes, and the free towels (for Kantary guests) and affordable restaurant at the Panwa Beach, located just over the hill.

Panwa Beach is very peaceful, away from the crowds, but not dead. There are people walking along the beach and a handful of bar/restaurants along the shore, but it isn't too loud or crazy at night. A nice peaceful getaway. As for the swimming, maybe not the best as the ground under the water along the beach seemed to have a lot of large rocks and other items in it. I wouldn't exactly recommend it for swimming. But for relaxing, boating, getting a few drinks, it's great. My recommendation would be to stay at a resort/hotel along Panwa and renting a car so that you can drive to other beaches for swimming, such as Ya Nui beach.

A hotel of superlatives not least because like a miracle this part of Phuket is undeveloped. The room was charming and spotless. I was expecting geckos and insects but there weren't any. Lovely staff, delicious freshly cooked breakfast and beautiful garden. I saw monkeys and monitor lizards. This is the perfect place to relax. The restaurant is mainly frequented by Thai families and looks out over the beach and lagoon. It is 5* without the price tag. Highly recommended.
I recently stayed at Pullman Phuket Panwa Beach Resort and had a delightful experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel welcome throughout my visit.
Despite the slightly aged facilities, everything was well-maintained and clean. To my surprise, they even upgraded my room, adding an extra touch of luxury. The hotel's location was convenient, and I would gladly recommend this hotel for a pleasant stay.
The Mooring Resort is a spectacular resort in a secluded bay south of the hustle and bustle of Phuket. The pool, the beach side restaurant and the private beach make it the perfect place to take a breath from the noisy, kitsch side of the island. Our room was spacious with a great view of the bay, as well as of the neighbouring islands. The furnishing is modern and exquisite. Having two sinks in the toilet is definitely a plus
It was really likecwaking up in paradise - beatiful views and 10 steps from the sea, located on one of the best Phuket beaches. Also, our beach front villa was fully equipped and had 3 large and 1 small bedrooms and a lovely pation with a view. The villa's manager was very helpful and friendly.
Definitely recommend the stay.
