Location excellent for a walker, like myself. Good paths nearby along the river. Also a walking park. Was grateful that Le Neuf provided a free bicycle for exploring Lampang.

The location is very good. Breakfast is delicious.
The best feature is the old town close to the Arts Center...
The best feature is the old town close to the Arts Center with many original wooden houses. The street market is low key, not overtly touristy and showed some local crafts alongside the usual Chiang Mia stuff. The riverside bars and restaurants have good views but the river itself is a disappointment. This ancient city also has many temples.

The Ceramics factories were interesting as were the temples in the city. Then there is the old city wall, railway station , and museum to visit . And a very old house .
Best to hire a car. Public transport not so good.

Other than Kad Kong Ta Walking Street (Saturday & Sunday...
Other than Kad Kong Ta Walking Street (Saturday & Sunday only), several Wats / Temples and a couple museums there didn’t seem to be a lot to see in town. The better attractions seemed to be 30 minutes or more outside of town. We enjoyed eating at "Which Wat Pastry", it's a bit out of the way but has great food and pastries at very reasonable prices. Almost next door to Which Wat is "Grandma's Cafe", we didn't eat there but enjoyed viewing the owner's car collection directly behind the cafe. If you don't have your own transportation and don't want to do an organized tour hiring a taxi for the day at 1000 baht is a good idea. Be careful of the songthaews, we discovered they don't always know where you want to go even though they tell you they do.

Lampang is a very laid back friendly northern town. Not many western tourist there. Food excellent. Plenty temples to see. Only 1 hour from Chiang Mai. Everything extremely good value. Local people friendly and helpful.

We stayed in the old part of the city.
We stayed in the old part of the city. So much character and lovely old buildings of architectural interest. Good restaurants and coffee shops, the ones we particularly liked were Long Jim's Pizzeria, Riverside Restaurant and Chito Coffee House. Great night markets Especially loved the decorated horse-drawn carriages. Songtaews were easy to get around with standard fare of 20bt.

Wondering why so many close to each other.
A typically tourist town, with not many tourists.
Can easy spend a day or two here if interested in tempels and history.
The room was really big with an added bonus of a balcony. Had everything you needed including a fridge, kettle (with coffee replenished every day) big TV if you want to watch tele. The bed was the star of the show, the comfiest we have had in Thailand so far. The bathroom really let it down, when the shower was on it was just pointed directly at the toilet and the sink was leaking. Just missing the added eye for detail to make it 10/10. The staff were also a little unwelcoming compared to have we have been used to in Thailand
Well-sized room which was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The owner was very friendly and helpful and he organised a driver for a tour, suggested places we could visit and even took us to the railway station when we left.
The hotel was in walking distance of waterside restaurants and several smaller eateries. Within the hotel there was an area on floor 3 with tables, crockery and a microwave where you could eat your own food.

Very clean, spacious and comfortable room on the second floor of the house; its private bathroom is on the first floor (this is the only weakness of this adorable place!).

The hotel reflects modern Japanese architecture. Cozy. Comfy. Clean. Staff is helpful and attentive. I encountered a small problem with the air-con unit and the staff came to help in no time, even though it was pass 10pm - she was already off duty.

This is probably the best resort you can find in Lampang. Of course, it's not a 5-star brand hotel or a resort so you can't expect what you've experienced in big cities. But, if you travel a lot, you will immediately know that you can't find anything better than this place.
Well located near the old town of Lampang, a city we really enjoyed visiting. Our host Pawat and lovely family were a great source of local information and very helpful in arranging for excursions and transportation.

This hotel has a lovely location amid tropical trees near the river. The gardens and grounds are very well kept.
The rooms are full of Thai local character and are simple but comfortable.

Clean, classy, and upscale hotel. The art vibes were definitely interesting. The rooms were super nice and clean and classy. The bar with live music was a very nice touch. Very good furniture accents that gave off good vibes.
The location was good. Weekend night market was just around the corner. Good bars a few walk from the hotel. Weird enough there was no 7-11 nearby. Friendly staff. The bed was comfortable enough.
