A small hotel close to Mahidol University; recently renovated, we stayed there with a group of guests during an international University event. All slept very well. Very kind staff. I could see they spent extra on various things to make the stay nicer. For example, the mattress has a latex topper, which most would consider an upgrade. And the sheets were more like you'd find in a deluxe hotel than an inexpensive hostel/hotel. The towels were also good quality, not cheap, thin towels. It's a nice place for a night's stay.
