Cleanliness, really comfortable bed, view from the balcony was amazing, I loved the location which was a bit away from the main street.
The breakfast is absolutely SPECTACULAR and one of the main reasons why I had chosen this place. They make their own bread and coffee. The cafe where u have breakfast is so nicely decorated-wood and a looot of greenery, that you really feel like u are in some high-end resort in the middle of nowhere.

Our second review. We liked our first stay so much, we came back again. The hotel is wonderful and we couldn't have been happier during our time there. The room is spacious, clean, and comfortable, in a very peaceful garden setting. The hosts are friendly and welcoming. And the sea, pier, and walking street are just a short walk away. Stayed 2 nights but would’ve liked 3 or 4 as it was a relaxing place to sunbathe and swim. It’s a small island so would’ve been nice to explore and maybe find some empty beaches.
The massage at the hotel on the beach was very good.
Travelled by Tigerline Ferries from Krabi (small speedboats) via Koh Lanta. Took 6.5 hours in total so a very long day and would choose a different route next time.

The beaches are beautiful, the people that live in the island amazing, food is great.

Absolutely lovely. Definitely coming back again. This island is a true paradise. Quite a long way to get to but worth it when you’re there. Sunset beach gives you little coves surrounded by rocks, great snorkeling and kayaking, beautiful sunsets and a quiet laidback atmosphere. Sunrise beach offer more open beaches free of rocks and plenty of white sand. It is busier and more crowded but still offering beautiful crystal clear waters.
Ko Lipe caters for all crowds really and yet it retains that small paradise island vibe that enables you to switch off and truly rest. All locals are incredibly friendly and polite. They are genuinely hospitable and caring. Very easy to get around the island as you can walk everywhere. Should you need a taxi, there are plenty and no matter where you’re going you pay thb50. Food wise there’s plenty of choice for both Thai or western food. If you’re vegetarian or vegan you also will have plenty of options. The hotels offer catering choices at reasonable prices. There are some tours to go on should you feel that way inclined. I honestly can recommend it enough.

So much busier than we thought it would be.
So much busier than we thought it would be. Very noisy with the boats. The pattaya beach completely ruined because of the boats. Sunset beach is pretty and quieter but take mosquito spray, there are clouds of them wanting your blood. The general feel of the island was that we were tolerated because we spend money. Not a friendly island at all.
I spent 200baht in Wave supermarket afterwards I asked for a plastic cup and they wanted to charge 1 baht, I really wished I'd given 500 and waited for the change.
On the plus side great snorkeling away from the boats.
Sanom Beach Resort across the rickety bridge is well worth a visit, 400 baht for 2 comfy beanbags on the incredible beach, food great and not expensive, definitely worth a visit, best place on the island.
Great and modern hotel, at beach front. Guess we were lucky to get a room close to the beach and main pool so this is plus to the team! Great variety on the breakfast, and prices on the pool and restaurant are a bit on high side but ok. Happy hour have good deals though!! Hotel is located in the southern part of sunset beach, which is a more private area, so best way to reach is tuk-tuk. Nice organized pickup and drop-off from the pier.
We were really impressed with this stay! We opted for the breakfast included price and we couldn’t believe the breakfast we got everyday with a sea view at the restaurant! The bungalows are well equipped with mosquito nets, coffee, map of Koh Lipe and decking to chill out. Staff are nice. Free water refills were a big plus for us to save buying plastic bottles. It’s also located on Sunset beach, the best one in my opinion.
Staff was really nice and friendly. Ocean is right next to the rooms, even the furthest one is less than 50m away.
The receptionist was very helpful and accommodating. Would definitely come back. The atmosphere is very chilled and the resort is family friendly. The hotel provided special snorkelling package price only with underwater photoshoot with THB 550 only which cheaper than among the other providers
The most perfect hotel in Ko lipe line with commitment! The hotel we most enjoyed in Thailand, brand new hotel, was so good we decided to extend our trip by another day because of this hotel, the most beautiful beach in Ko lipe, just amazing staff helped us with everything we asked for, recommended us trips and attractions on the island, just a must visit!

The resort is much better than it looks in the photos, being really on the seafront. The location is perfect as it is calm, the sea in front is great for swimming and the breakfast is perfect. Arriving by speed boat, a hotel employee can pick up your bags in a handcart and the hotel is less than 5 minutes from the port in front of the walking street.
We loved the staff, they were all just wonderful. The location is very good, by the beach, there are barely any longtail boats.
Hotel provides toys for kids, snorkels, kayaks, etc. The breakfast is very good.
There is no restaurant in the hotel for other meals, but there are other good options on the Sunrise beach.
Very helpful & responsive staff. They helped us to charter the return boat transfer from Pak Bara jetty, and liase with the dive center on our equipment transfer.

Castaway is a small beautiful haven. Very cozy island vibe with wooden houses and located directly at the Ko Lipe Sunrise Beach. the staff were incredibly kind and the food at the restaurant was also quite delicious. The property was clean.
