Perfect location for good price. Staff was super friendly and we spoke even to owner at evening pool. Breakfast include selected meal + toasts with butter and jam + little bananas + watter/juice/caffe/tea. Pork on basil is recomended. Hotel bar at pool has same prices as 7/11 and good drinks with enough alcohol. We enjoyed our time there.

This place is amazing, so friendly, nice bungalows, great pool, and treated like family. Also showed me an app that has an amazing exchange rate and no banking fees. Talking around 25% more money using his way, would never stay anywhere else in Ko chang, you couldn't find an all round hotel and owners. Nearly forgot he also has every sorting event, TV from 30 countries and all pov events. Best place on the island. Your mad if you don't stay here

Saffron on the Sea is a hidden gem! So peaceful and such a beautiful location with well-maintained tropical gardens and next to the ocean. Our room was lovely, nicely designed and comfortable bed with a nice sea view and deck chair outside to relax. The restaurant/bar was excellent too, we had breakfast, lunch and dinner here and cannot fault the food! Highly recommend the banana leaf salad and spicy basil with beef. The cocktails at sunset were the highlight for us! The sunset was spectacular with perfect views from the deck. The staff here were all so friendly and helpful, we can't thank them enough for making our stay so lovely.

Well where do I start? Ko Chang has been the most amazing island we visited so far. People were so friendly, the beach were not crowder — so many food options to choose from. Honestly, 3 weeks stay was too short in our opinion. Will definitely come back for more 😊

From people we know and random searches on the internet, we gathered that Koh Chang would be way less touristy than places like, say Koh Panghan and Koh Samui. That's why we were a little bit disappointed the first few days of our stay on the West side of the island. Yes, it's a bit less crowdy than Samui or Panghan, but it's still QUITE touristy. It's only seems to be more catered to an older (like 65+) crowd - especially around the most famous White Sand Beach - and couples. BUT luckily we found what we were looking for at the much quieter east side of the island. There are less restaurants and (seedy) bars over there, but you can enjoy the beauty of the island and see some of the 'genuine' Thailand in relative calm and ease. The east side I would definitely recommend to friends, the west side not so much. It helped that we stayed in the wonderful Privacy Resort, which made our stay at the east side even more enjoyable.

My favorite part is the close proximity to the ocean and mountains, and the great scenery.

The island is definitely worth a visit. There are very nice beaches in its western part. On the opposite side, I did not find any beaches suitable for swimming. Getting to the island by ferry is simple.

A lovely island with beautiful beaches, great food can be found in higher class restaurants down to cheap street food. a visit to Bang Bao pier is recommended.
However night life has declined since covid, and many bars and shops have not reopened
The first row sea view room made us feel very relaxed and peaceful. Well designed room had everything we need. Delicious buffet breakfast by the sea which we enjoyed the view very much. The hotel staffs were very helpful and all with a good service attitude. There are also free kayaks and stand-up paddles for fun. Beautiful swimming pool. The resort area is quite large and allows people to wander around. There are also some beautiful peacocks roaming freely in the resort. Free shuttle bus to go the white sand beach area and local market.
my favorite hotel on Koh Chang. I stay there every year. For me, the most ideal location in my opinion. Not far from lonely beach (5 minutes by bike, which can be rented at the hotel). Around the corner is a store that is open until 12 at night, a laundry and restaurants. The houses are located in a green garden, spaced apart from each other, which creates additional privacy. Very friendly staff). Ideal price-quality ratio. If you are a package tourist, then this hotel is unlikely to suit you.з

Perfect - as we were 2 couples we decided to book the Villa Filou for a week in Ko Chang. Stefan is a great host, very welcoming and helpful. The villa was has described spacious, clean, with a direct access to the shared pool, everything that you need for a vacation on the island. The staff was very helpful, it was great to have free cleaning (included with the booking).

The location is very excellent- long and clean beach with sunset view. Very appreciate with peaceful time. The resort is good for people who enjoy nature such as beach, kayak and relax. Compare with other hotels, it may far from minimart or market but we can prepare all things before arrive. Then enjoy time here. Staff are great manner and welcome to help guest. Dinner is not much menu but enough for family and good teste. Rooms are clean.
Yak was the coolest and his bungalows were awesome. My partner and I loved our week at Yak Bungalows—the beach nearby was our favorite on the island (quieter, chiller), the bungalow itself was cozy and clean, and Yak was always available when we needed him. There’s a shared kitchen you can use as well. no wifi at the bungalows which was AmAzInG. We highly recommend and will be returning whenever we’re on Koh Chang!! Thanks Yak <3 :-)

Beach bars with music are open until 2300, then exactly at 2300 all music stops, and the beach is quiet. Our room was great though, we could hardly hear the noises from outside.
Even in low season with the rain pour, this hotel was amazing. We actually found it really peaceful here sitting on our balcony or the lobby restaurant when it was raining. The staff were so kind and welcoming. We got a card and a lovely fruit basket as we were celebrating my birthday and our engagement. The rooms were clean and decent size. The bathrooms were ok. The pool was lovely!
Everything is perfect. One of the best place where I have been ever. Great beach, clear sea, access to closest wild islands by kayak. Monkeys come to hotels sometimes. Friendly staff, nice breakfast and food at all. Developed Infrastructure is around . There are a lot of restaurants and shops, 7/11 on the main road. You could go swimming with baby elephant in 200m from hotel.
Not much when i arrived they had rented our room to someone else.
My girlfriend had come to the property and talked to them twice.
It was supposed to be a romantic week .
Instead my girlfriend broke up with due to the room problem, the run down nature of the resort.
And the feeling she had about the hotel.

Literally the best place I’ve ever stayed in Thailand. The room is huge and very beautiful, very clean and has a minibar. The owners are very friendly and helped me greatly with planning my trip. There is a cafe right with magnificent view and very delicious food. this is a part of the hotel.
This hotel is amazing beautiful! Employees are really nice and professional. The suite rooms with private pools in the new building are so beautiful all in old wooden thai style! The swimming pools and the beach are just perfect to chill and relax in paradise.
This is my go to resort in Ko Chang and have stayed here numerous times. The location is great, and the hotel has a great pool and amenities. Since my last stay they have upgraded the sunbeds and added more kayaks and paddle boards which is nice.
Beautiful resort on a lovely white sand beach which is shared by other small resorts. The pools were great, lots of beach seating. Perfect for families. The breakfast was good and we enjoyed our room upgrade so had a main floor garden view.
