A beautiful resort, 2 minutes walk from the beach. The rooms are big and comfortable and the staff are super friendly. The resort also has a restaurant within it where you can eat various styles of dishes and pay all at once when leaving. Gorgeous little family owned and run resort. It has great ocean views and is nestled in lush, green tropical forest with a good location with a 3 min walk to the beach and a 5 min walk to the village. The property is perched high on the hill with a steep descent to the beach, so it helps to be fit. The owner goes out of her way to make sure her guests are comfortable.
Amazing place on the island. Lots of cafe's, restaurants and more. Nothing is too far really, jump on the bike and go 15min to another spot, be very careful in the corners when riding your bike......lots of people get a "Koh Phangan" tattoo there meaning they crash and the scars. Sand in corners means, slow down!!!
I recommend Papaya Massage for great Thai and oil massage. Enjoy a great beautiful Phangan.

Haad Yao has so many beautiful beaches that have an immense amount of underwater life. Be wary that some of the beaches though are rock / crushed coral based so they can hurt under foot / be slippery navigating. If you can pack reef shoes with you along with your snorkel it would be fantastic. We came to the island for my kids to learn scuba and dive at Sail Rock. We went with Asia Blue and the service was brilliant - they picked us up and dropped us back every day. The instructors and guides were all very patient, informative and have deep passion for the ocean. When we didn’t eat at the resorts restaurant we used delivery KPG as I didn’t have a method of transport we could all fit in safely. Every to ing we got was tasty from burgers, to pizza to Thai. It was delicious! If you plan on walking around just be mindful Koh Phangan is very hilly.

Very quiet area, only 3 or 4 places to eat or get a drink, the beach is beautiful but too shallow to swim in, nice to sit in though.
Most of the hotels / restaurants sell the same food but not grate food apart from the Italian restaurant called loco I think, the food was outstanding and not overly expensive and the staff where brilliant.

The area is picturesque and at least when we were there uncrowded, quiet and peaceful. There are plenty of choices for places to eat and stay. Several restaurants are perched on the hillsides and have spectacular views of the beach and gulf. There is a 7-11, a dive operation, and a motorbike repair shop. A number of businesses were closed due Covid-depressed tourism.

haad yao is a really chilli beach. absolutely good to relax and in the ight we were at haad yao beach bar and the owners are so funny and friendly. and in theday time vagga bar is a nice spot to relax a bit and having a nice fruit shake or a fresh coconut :-)

The Haven resort has the most stunning terrace and watching the sunset at night was magical. the food and staff were amazing and our host Vincent could not do enough for us. the resort is very hilly, so a scooter if confident enough is ideal, otherwise a taxi at 200 baht and they are plentiful. the choice of beaches are countless, loads of restaurants. avoid the swanky ones as they are over priced and not that good in our opinion. the small rustic ones are half there price and food is the best by far. The Haven resort is an absolute must for visitors, whether staying there or just dining there. the sunset views were the best I have ver had!
We loved our stay at Mayara Pool Villas; great communication from the hosts and arranging a pick up from the ferry. The villas are new and private with amazing views. We loved they had scooters for rent at the villas and enjoyed the location with great recommendations by Viktorija and Baptiste for local restaurants for breakfast, great coffee and authentic Thai dinners. Koh Phangan is a quiet island with great beaches and easy to explore. Would highly recommend staying here.
I loved to stay here, thats why I extended my stay for another week. The hotel is beautiful, the view amazing, the food really good and the beach is nice too. There a little bars, restaurants and shops around. At the restaurant Senses (2min with the motorbike) they offer salsa, bachata, kizomba classes and a latin party on monday.
Its built on a little hill, but I would say the steps are not too difficult to take.
The staff is very nice and helpful too.

Everything on the exterior was nice, modern and clean. Facilities, reception and the coffee bars were lovely. Reception staff were always helpful. Direct access to the pool was good (if you were on the ground floor apartments) perfect access to beach. Haad Yao area was one of nicest areas on west side of island with plenary of modern and traditional places to eat/ get coffee.

Spacecious swimming pool with view on the beach, sea and the bar. The beach had umbrellas and beds available. During happy hour you could easily enjoy the sunset.The food was incredible!
The staff was very nice. Nothing to complain about,would definitely come back!!
The place was amazing! Quiet, clean, the room was large, location is top - just a 300 meters from the nice beach. Staff was very helpful all the time, also I could rent a bike in the hotel and book taxi. Everything was just perfect.
