I have asked for a quiet room but we were placed in a room backed to the street , not so busy street but 1-2 motors are enough to wake you up. Free bicycles are great but only if they works ,no pedals, or no breaks ( no cover under the rains ) is just not good enough- the staff tried to help , to fix but we gave up. Next time make it ready before the guest asked to use it. We thought to stay one more night but what gave me away was the attitude, I personally don’t eat cook food on breakfast, I have asked for some granola/Mosley but the asked to charge me. So we went away. There is no ping pong table as it written. 3 TVs are great but we could not use the- Netflix won’t work and all downloaded app to watch won’t connect to the internet. Kitchen is well equipped, cleanings is good enough. So it was ok but service is not good , smiling does solve all tiny problems.

Best placed we stayed in thailand so far, really great staff, owner sorted a great price on jamesbond trip, free tea coffee toast all day everyday and really clean and spacious room 😀 nearly new scooter was perfect

Great location for what we needed. Clean & comfortable Bottles of water in the fridge, coffee/tea making facilities Shower (towels & hair dryer provided along with soap, shampoo etc..) Extremely helpful staff (with booking taxis for our onward journeys)

The suites were a great size, and the view from them over the bay was incredible. I was there in the rainy season, and there were not many guests, which was great. Next time, I will try the two bed villas.

Very friendly family running the place, I enjoyed every minute of it! Perfect place to find peace and quiet. Hopefully can come back one day...

We booked two nights at the Villa Tha Maphrao either end of our Thailand holiday and would happily have stayed longer. From the pick up at the airport to arrival at the oasis of calm and tranquility that is the Villa Tha Maphrao everything is geared towards the comfort and relaxation of the guests. We chose VTM due to its proximity to the airport but were soon to realise it is so much more. Peter and his wife Oi are two of the warmest hosts you could imagine. Their raison d'etre is ensuring their guests feel at home and we certainly did. Our stay at the beginning of the holiday provided us with a welcome opportunity to rest and recoup after a long flight, similarly at the end of our holiday we returned and enjoyed our last couple of nights relaxing before our early flight home. Peter is a knowledgeable and warm host who gets the balance just right - he goes out of his way to meet the needs of his guests but in a subtle way so you do not feel overwhelmed and your privacy is maintained. One evening Peter dropped us off at a fabulous local fish restaurant, the food was superb and excellent price point. We also ate at a traditional Thai beach restaurant that we would never have found ourselves. Oi is quite possibly the sweetest host you will ever meet, she goes out of her way to ensure you have everything you need and cooks fabulous Thai food and amazing breakfasts including platters of fruit, home made yoghurt, coconut pancakes and freshly baked cakes and banana bread. Oi is always on the go, working tirelessly to ensure that everywhere is spotlessly clean for her guests, our rooms were the cleanest of anywhere we stayed in Thailand with crisp white bed linemen changed daily. The pool is just perfect - clean and ideal temperature for cooling dips and nighttime swims under the stars.

Super clean, comfortable, amazing shower, quiet. Ideal for a short stopover.

Pool is amazing. Staff very friendly. Very secure with security guards posted all the time.

Proximity to the Elephant Sanctuary !
