Very good location if you are visiting Skocjan Caves, which is at walking distance from the hostel. Very good breakfast (optional) and very friendly staff. The owner/manager is an excellent chef who would prepare (I think) the best dinner in the whole area. Sufficient space for parking if you come by car.

Dajana and Boris welcomed us like family and we left as friends. We were treated so well, cared and loved...we visited the Lipica stud farm and connected with Dajana's daughter Eva for help in going on a trail ride with one of the gorgeous Lipizzaner horses. This was a dream come true for me and I still have to pinch myself. We met Taja, the eldest daughter as well and found both young women to be amazingly beautiful and kind. Our dinner was exceptional, prepared with love and explained so well by Boris. My broken Italian seemed to help, but Boris and Dajana speak English. The guests were lovely as well and the grounds are so well cared for and loved....it shows in everything. This is a special place.....these are special people....please treat them with respect and kindness, and please GO visit! I'm already wanting to go back and bring my own daughters.
