Simply an extraordinary experience. The hotel is greatly situated, beautifully furnished, you feel very well there. Room was big and comfortable, wifi very quick what is not common usually in other hotels. The parking is big and the garden is a great place to relax near river. Breakfast was excellent, you can find there everything what need for great breakfast. Per wish the owner prepares you eggs of your choice. My wife has food allergy and the owner didn't hesitate a second to try to get her everything she can eat. All the food is in high quality and high cleanness is everywhere.
The last but not least tribute goes to the owner - they made us feel like at home. A very friendly couple who run the hotel from their hearts. Thank you for your hospitality and friendliness!

It's small but extremely beautiful town. Well maintained and lots of local content. Easy to get to the nature and out of the main roads, for biking or tracking. For city bees, nice terraces in old town to sit on sun and read books with local wine.

The host is super and the apartment is very nice with new equipment in the bathroom and kitchen. Very well managed. Good for a family of four persons. It has a view of mountains and sky. In the evening, you can sit in the balcony and enjoy the evening.
We used to eat in the old town and breakfast can be prepared by self using the kitchen.

Wonderful historical city center with a medieval castle and colorful houses. Good selection of coffee shops
(Na Stengah, Homan...) that also have excellent ice cream and snacks (Kaiserschmarn, cakes, sandwiches...). Kasca or Pr'Pepet are good places for lunch or dinner.
Skofja Loka is definitely a place to visit.

A beautiful city!
A beautiful city! Things close pretty early right now, so make sure to stock up on groceries if you don't plan on eating out. Everything is really close, the nature is simply stunning and the river you can swim in is refreshing.

Very friendly people, Škofja is a small town, no crowded, no hordes of turist groups, the castle museum was beautiful, the river bridges, mountins and the alps around. Indeed, a breathtaking scenary. I would recommed everyone the 1-hour climbing to the peak Sveti Jošt nad Kranjem.

The old Skofja Loka is a pictoresque small town. There are good alternatives for hiking and visiting historic places. There are lots of small cafes, but variety of eating places was either more limited or I just did not find them. There seemed to be good public transport both within the town and to nearby locations.
Skofja Loka is a beautiful place with many interesting historic buildings. It is much quieter than Bled or Ljubljana. Hotel Zamorc is a lovely place to stay with a riverside garden. It is within easy walking distance of all the sights and restaurants in the old town.The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was good. The hosts are so welcoming and helpful and speak very good English. . There are many places you can visit within easy driving distance and the hosts make recommendations to help you plan your stay.
Had a wonderful time in Skofja Loka at Hotel Garni. The location is perfect and wonderful right on the river. The owner is very engaging and full of information about the town and history of his property, which has been passed down for many many generations. It got quite hot and our room had good air conditioning.
Skofja Loka is a small town so can be seen and walked in a day.
Breakfast in the basement wine cellar was nice though the breakfast was a bit slim (see comment below)
Sasha (the owner) was amazing! The hotel was very clean and location was less than half a mile from the medieval old town center! We were only planning to have coffee but ended up eating breakfast. Sasha offered to fry 2 over easy eggs for my husband. There were homemade pancakes (crepes), homegrown tomatoes, peppers, and cucumbers as well as boiled mini sausages and a variety of meats and cheeses, several types of bread for toasting, as well as yogurts, cereals and juices. Delicious!
It was a wonderful holiday in the amazing Slovenian nature. The owners accepted me and my kids as a family. We fed farm animals, enjoyed the beautiful surroundings, visited the nearby adrenaline park, the Škofja Loka museum and even the swans lake in Zbilje . The rented apartment corresponded to the description: it was warm, cozy, had everything necessary for cooking and a pleasant stay. Recomended

A perfect stay in a relaxing, upscale hotel apartment, in a rural setting. The apartment is spacious, new, well appointed, and the the atmosphere is casual, friendly. The location is very convenient to visit Skofja Loka, yet so much prettier than being in town.
The mountain views are magnificent with a large terrace.
The 2 bedrooms apartment is very big with a huge bathroom.
We also recommend the fine dining family's restaurant, just a minute walk, up the road.
skofja loka and Slovenia in general is in a strategic place for every tourist, you can see many sights in Slovenia, besides Slovenia, it is close to Venice, Vienna, plitvice lakes in Croatia.

The garden is inviting for a nice rest in the sun, you can here the water of the river flowing and the birds singing.

Everything was perfectly clean. The hosts are amazing, very kind and helpful, they created a plan for us for a round trip near the location of the hotel. Rooms are comfortable and pretty big. The outside of the hotel is also amazing, you can relazing watching the nature and the river.
