Nice little hotel run by a very friendly man who knows a lot about the local history. Excellent location by the historic centre. Breakfast was decent, and the room was basic but clean. I liked the homemade bread.

Simply an extraordinary experience. The hotel is greatly situated, beautifully furnished, you feel very well there. Room was big and comfortable, wifi very quick what is not common usually in other hotels. The parking is big and the garden is a great place to relax near river. Breakfast was excellent, you can find there everything what need for great breakfast. Per wish the owner prepares you eggs of your choice. My wife has food allergy and the owner didn't hesitate a second to try to get her everything she can eat. All the food is in high quality and high cleanness is everywhere.
The last but not least tribute goes to the owner - they made us feel like at home. A very friendly couple who run the hotel from their hearts. Thank you for your hospitality and friendliness!
We will definitely come back :-) It is worth to visit the beautiful Skofja Loka and hotel Zamorc as well.

The room was perfect, clean and very nicely renovated (same as the hotel itself).
We arrived late in the afternoon and found a really helpful and kind staff at the front desk.

It's castle is on the hill above the city and enables good view and also sightseeing. There are nice cafes and restaurants in the city and everything is close in walking distance. Great place for biking trips.
Skofja Loka is close to Ljubljana, Bled or Postojna, so good location for daily trips.

It's small but extremely beautiful town.
It's small but extremely beautiful town. Well maintained and lots of local content. Easy to get to the nature and out of the main roads, for biking or tracking. For city bees, nice terraces in old town to sit on sun and read books with local wine.

The host is super and the apartment is very nice with new equipment in the bathroom and kitchen. Very well managed. Good for a family of four persons. It has a view of mountains and sky. In the evening, you can sit in the balcony and enjoy the evening.
We used to eat in the old town and breakfast can be prepared by self using the kitchen.

Wonderful historical city center with a medieval castle and colorful houses. Good selection of coffee shops
(Na Stengah, Homan...) that also have excellent ice cream and snacks (Kaiserschmarn, cakes, sandwiches...). Kasca or Pr'Pepet are good places for lunch or dinner.
Skofja Loka is definitely a place to visit.

A beautiful city!
A beautiful city! Things close pretty early right now, so make sure to stock up on groceries if you don't plan on eating out. Everything is really close, the nature is simply stunning and the river you can swim in is refreshing.

Very friendly people, Škofja is a small town, no crowded, no hordes of turist groups, the castle museum was beautiful, the river bridges, mountins and the alps around. Indeed, a breathtaking scenary. I would recommed everyone the 1-hour climbing to the peak Sveti Jošt nad Kranjem.
Had a wonderful time in Skofja Loka at Hotel Garni. The location is perfect and wonderful right on the river. The owner is very engaging and full of information about the town and history of his property, which has been passed down for many many generations. It got quite hot and our room had good air conditioning.
Skofja Loka is a small town so can be seen and walked in a day.
Breakfast in the basement wine cellar was nice though the breakfast was a bit slim (see comment below)
This is a great place to stay. Very friendly and helpful staff, lovely setting within walking distance of the medieval centre and rural areas. Lovely walks nearby. Getting scrambled eggs or an omelette as you please in addition to a generous breakfast spread is a very nice touch. We just stayed one night but I would like to come back and have this hotel as a base for outings in the region. Warmly recomended.
It is a wonderful place to stay. The guy running the hotel is very friendly, authentic, helpful and inviting. Breakfast is offers basically everything and is good. Would stay there again.
p.s. Were there with motorbikes. Departed at heavy rain. He simply grabbed some plastic bags and tape to cover my boots. This describes the hotel best: Everything is uncomplicated and friendly.
Neither photos nor words can describe the beauty of the place. The accommodation is perfect, both beauty and cleanliness. It has to be rated ten, because there is no higher rating. The setting is like a fairy tale. It is perfectly located for visiting Lake Bled, Ljubljana or Bohinj, etc. The nearby town of Škofja Loka is a medieval gem worth visiting.
Beautiful new-build hotel by the river’s edge, in immaculate gardens yet only a minute or two from the start of the historic old town. Comfortable room, very easy parking, excellent breakfast. The owners are very friendly and helpful hosts; and we appreciated their recommendation to eat at pr’Pepet just up the road - wonderful.
The location is very convenient to visit Skofja Loka, yet so much prettier than being in town.
The mountain views are magnificent with a large terrace.
The 2 bedrooms apartment is very big with a huge bathroom.
We also recommend the fine dining family's restaurant, just a minute walk, up the road.
Everything was perfectly clean. The hosts are amazing, very kind and helpful, they created a plan for us for a round trip near the location of the hotel. Rooms are comfortable and pretty big. The outside of the hotel is also amazing, you can relazing watching the nature and the river.
The apartment is clean and tidy, there is wi-fi. The beautiful surroundings of medieval Skofja Loka and a great base for exploring Slovenia. The owner is the nicest person in Slovenia. We left a few things in the apartment after we left and he sent everything back to us. I recommend
