We stayed here during the holidays while skiing in the nearby Ski resort Gače. Incredible holiday house. First time ever that we had a whole house for ourselves. Very peaceful area. We had everything we needed. Even sauna! :) The host was exceptionally helpful. She took care of everything. We had our car right at the doorstep, so moving luggage and skiing equipment was very easy. For sure we will come back again when visiting this region. There is still plenty of interesting things to discover, experience and taste in Bela Krajina during other parts of the year.

It has all the appliances you need and more and is in an extremely beautiful and quiet neighbourhood, in the middle of the vineyards.
You will get the best and most hospitable welcome, we were spoiled rotten with glasses of home made wine, schnaps, apple juice and a salami and cheese and veggies platter.

A very small town, quiet, with a pleasant stretch of renovated elder buildings around the town church. Surrounded by vineyards and forrests it can be a good starting point for cycling and trekking. Only a few bars and places to eat - an inn with local dishes (Pezdirc), a bar wih pizzas (Maticek) and another one with local dishes, a pastry shop and a bakery. Don't expect any night life. Had a pizza at Maticek and it was good enough. There are several Slovenian, Czech and other beers to select from there. Staropramen on draught was very good. The only hotel in town, Smuk, is recently renovated and good value for the money. You can try local wine, beer or liquors there.
