Well located, Bohinj lake can be reached by foot (1h30) or by bus (2€, 15 min). Bled lake can be reached by train (3€, 20 min). The position is ideal if you don't want to pay for parking (expensive for both lakes). There's free parking next to the hostel, which is nice. The staff is friendly and helpful. Overall, the hostel is clean and the bed are relatively comfy.

We had a lovely stay. The rooms were small but functional- extremely clean, very comfortable and in good condition, which we really appreciated. We liked having mosquitoes nets, which meant we could sleep well. The rooms are ideally located in a quiet, lovely village not far from Bohinj lake.

The atmosphere at Hostel Mama Minka is very friendly and the owners make you feel at home. The place is great, they also offer bikes for rent and a good place to rest after long walks/tours. We met some amazing people too. My boyfriend and I had only booked one night, but we liked the place so much that we used it as a base for a few days to explore the mountains and lakes, that we stayed for 3 nights in total. That's why we highly recommend you spend one or more nights there.
