very helpful staff. got a good night's sleep. hotel has a casino which attracts Italians from over the border. Price was a tad on the expensive side but it was a Saturday night, Short walk from Slovenian railway station but you need a taxi for the Italian railway station.

Great hiking trails but you really need a car to get around. We were on foot which limited what we could do. We walked over 12 km daily and did very little. Most of the places to visit were out of reach.

We had dinner at Restaurant Pri Hrastu and launch at Ošterija Žogica - I can recommend both places l. There are also many small cafes and bakeries around the town.
The town is just on the border with Italy and very popular for its casinos.

Nova Gorica is a small city but has everything a traveler needs. Getting around is easy as most things are within walking distance and the city buses are free.
Two good places to eat are Fabrika, a bar and restaurant in the pedestrian center with great burgers and Gurmand, an informal place with both Slovene and Italian food.
Fans of beer should visit O’Haras with its hundreds of beers.
There are also a number of casinos for those who like gambling.

The italian Gorizia Is the interesting side of the city.
The italian Gorizia Is the interesting side of the city. You cannot realize the Slovenian Italian border , so It was interesting. The culture and historical things are in Gorizia (Italy) but the verrà , pubs are much more Better in Gorica (Slovenia)
Very good bed to sleep on, the whole hotel facility is very clean and enjoyable… The room is as well very quiet and allows for a good night‘s sleep!
The owner and his young and family staff are really welcoming and good people, who take care of their guests with ease and pleasure!
The owner is an excellent chef as well, so having dinner at the restaurant is a real no-brainer…
Pricing of rooms, food and drinks is very reasonable… So, if you want to stay in this area, you can‘t go wrong with Madonca!
Everything was excellent!! Communication was quick and check in and check out were simple and smooth. Room was great! Breakfast was great! Staff were all amazing! Easy walk into Gorizia, Italy from the hotel. Also, close to public transportation as well. And, do yourself a favor and EAT AT THEIR RESTAURANT. The food was so delicious, especially the beefsteak! Would definitely stay there again when visiting this area.
Very conveniently located, just 10 minutes from Italian border. Very clean and spacious rooms. Bed and pillows are comfortable, quiet location. The hotel has big parking for no additional charge. The restaurant was not working the day of our staying, but you can find different food options in Nova Gorica in just 10 minutes driving. Though the hotel is not modern and need some maintenance, the price is really good.
Nice and comfortable room, but maybe over priced. There are few hotels and accommodations in Nova Gorica, so they can drive the price as much as they want. But I have stayed in multiple 4 and 5 star hotels around Europe and this is not it. The room is still very nice, clean and practical, regardless of it being overpriced. Also, excellent breakfast choices, I was able to order room service breakfast every day.
I had a great stay at ValDiRose, Hosts are just fantastic! Very hospitable, cheerful and incredibly positive people. I got a lot of helpful hints regarding our stay, we were also welcomed by great wine, which was self-made by the Host!
We recommend this apartament for your holidays, it's a silent place at the countryside, near to border and Italian Gorizia, great base for trips to Slovenia and Italy.
An amazing apartment in Solkan. The furnishing was really nice and we enjoyed how spacious it was. The house is situated in a quiet neighbourhood, very close to Nova Gorica and sights in Goriška Brda. The owner was super friendly and flexible, for which we are very grateful. Overall a great stay!
A very large, clean and comfortable studio. The air conditioning worked well on a hot, summer's day. The hosts were very welcoming. Vila Burbonka is located on a hill, a quiet location that's a short walk up from the Nova Gorica's Transalpina Station and the border crossing.
The service of both the hotel and restaurant was phenomenal. Nicest service I can remember receiving! Highly recommend making reservations for the boutiques restaurant, where the same family presents beautiful dishes (loved the risotto)!

The room was clean and large enough for me. Everything was working. The parking space is large enough. Hotel can be easily found, as it is on the main road. The breakfast was fine, with a good coffee (essential for me).
