very helpful staff. got a good night's sleep. hotel has a casino which attracts Italians from over the border. Price was a tad on the expensive side but it was a Saturday night, Short walk from Slovenian railway station but you need a taxi for the Italian railway station.

The apartment was very beautiful in a peaceful location not so far from the city center. The owner is very friendly and he also has a good restaurant with superb food only 5min walk from the apartment.

Great hiking trails but you really need a car to get around. We were on foot which limited what we could do. We walked over 12 km daily and did very little. Most of the places to visit were out of reach.

We had dinner at Restaurant Pri Hrastu and launch at Ošterija Žogica - I can recommend both places l. There are also many small cafes and bakeries around the town.
The town is just on the border with Italy and very popular for its casinos.

Nova Gorica is a small city but has everything a traveler needs. Getting around is easy as most things are within walking distance and the city buses are free.
Two good places to eat are Fabrika, a bar and restaurant in the pedestrian center with great burgers and Gurmand, an informal place with both Slovene and Italian food.
Fans of beer should visit O’Haras with its hundreds of beers.
There are also a number of casinos for those who like gambling.

The italian Gorizia Is the interesting side of the city.
The italian Gorizia Is the interesting side of the city. You cannot realize the Slovenian Italian border , so It was interesting. The culture and historical things are in Gorizia (Italy) but the verrà , pubs are much more Better in Gorica (Slovenia)
The accommodation provided us with exactly what we needed, peace and quiet for a break from traveling. Everything was extremely clean and the beds were very comfortable. The owner of the accommodation is extremely accommodating, friendly and ready to help. The location is perfect, on the border between Italy and Slovenia, while in the immediate vicinity there is a bakery, a large store and a gasoline station. Recommended for all those who do not expect fashionable accommodation, but need peace. Good value for money ratio.
Everything was excellent!! Communication was quick and check in and check out were simple and smooth. Room was great! Breakfast was great! Staff were all amazing! Easy walk into Gorizia, Italy from the hotel. Also, close to public transportation as well. And, do yourself a favor and EAT AT THEIR RESTAURANT. The food was so delicious, especially the beefsteak! Would definitely stay there again when visiting this area.
Very conveniently located, just 10 minutes from Italian border. Very clean and spacious rooms. Bed and pillows are comfortable, quiet location. The hotel has big parking for no additional charge. The restaurant was not working the day of our staying, but you can find different food options in Nova Gorica in just 10 minutes driving. Though the hotel is not modern and need some maintenance, the price is really good.
I had a great stay at ValDiRose, Hosts are just fantastic! Very hospitable, cheerful and incredibly positive people. I got a lot of helpful hints regarding our stay, we were also welcomed by great wine, which was self-made by the Host!
We recommend this apartament for your holidays, it's a silent place at the countryside, near to border and Italian Gorizia, great base for trips to Slovenia and Italy.
Hotel Sabotin is actually quite a striking place when you walk through the door. It is a very nice building. The rooms and facilities are great and what I particularly liked is that we stored our bicycles in a locked and supervised area inside the hotel. We will stop here again when next in Nova Gorica
The service of both the hotel and restaurant was phenomenal. Nicest service I can remember receiving! Highly recommend making reservations for the boutiques restaurant, where the same family presents beautiful dishes (loved the risotto)!
Everything was exceptional. We planned our whole trip to Slovenia around visiting here and we are so glad we did. Exceptionally comfortable, immaculately clean, friendly helpful staff, delicious breakfast and so very relaxing
Clean, comfortable, decent-sized room. Nice to have a refrigerator. Good price and nice breakfast. Strong wifi. Excellent restaurant. Though I am not really "into" casinos, the casino part of the hotel was not overbearing.
Amazing stay at the DAM hotel!!! Uroš Fakuč was very sweet and helpful for the entirety of the stay. I tried the tasting menu at the hotel for the evening and it was incredible! Very nice breakfast as well.
Silence , wonderful view and beautiful place !!! One must visit in Nova Gorica , the city center is close by 10 min. taxi and price very handle . A lot restaurants and shopping to enjoy in the city ! ! !

Although the hotel was located at main square os Šempeter, it was very quiet location. The food at the hotel bistro was great, both for dinner and breakfast.
