The city is great! Small but has everything, very clean, friendly people, great places! In 4 months I visited it 3 times and I have already booked the next trip to Maribor. There is definitely something to see in each of the seasons!

I was not very impressed by Maribor.
I was not very impressed by Maribor. I had stopover here for one night during business trip. The historic center of the city is small, you can walk through it within an hour. Other parts of the city have typical socialist architecture from the time of Yugoslavia, which alternates with modern buildings. There are not many monuments or landmarks here. I definitely recommend visiting Ljubljana more if you choose cities in Slovenia to visit.

I like the city a lot - it was my second stay on the way to Slovenia and Croatia. City is very nice, clean and green. there are historical buildings, great bridge. we visited VINAG winery - in the center, with the dungeons below one of the squares.

Maribor is nearly a good place to visit, but not quite.
Maribor is nearly a good place to visit, but not quite. The limited history is not looked after and presented well, for example the Pyramid hill has the remnants of a 12th century castle on top but it is completely overgrown with weeds and is not accessible. The grapevines on the pyramid hill are all dead and overgrown with weeds so its an unsightly walk to the top. The old town is nice but small and the side streets have been tagged heavily. Its not their fault, they were bombed heavily in the war so much of it has been lost. One day is plenty to have a look around Maribor on your way to somewhere else...

What a nice place Maribor is; a walkable centre with a relaxed atmosphere, friendly people, and good cafes and bakeries for breakfast, We had a good dinner on the terrace at Ancora on Jurciceva ulica, which we were actually sent to by the helpful waiter at Papagayo on Gosposka ulica, because they do a lot of gluten-free stuff, including good pizzas; being directed somewhere by someone from a rival establishment is not something that happens every day. There's a great ice cream place just at the south end of Stari most and good beer and cocktails at the places down on the riverfront.

Guided tour is not too Long, stopped on the bank od River Drava. Walking, taking bus ...you can get all you wish.
Very nice and spacious apartment! I went there with my family including a 9 months baby and our dog and we felt like home. The house was very clean and you have everything you need including toys for the baby :) The owners live upstairs and they are very welcoming and helpful so in case anything is missing they will surely provide it for you.
The location is also very good, in a nice quiet neighborhood but very close to the city center and park so I recommend this place for anyone.
The hotel is situated in very calm area close to the river Drava from where you can reach the city center in 20 min.by walking. We was traveling with the car and we had a parking space in front of hotel on private and closed parking. Hotel is modern equiped and very clean with good breakfast. The host is very charming and helpfull lady who help us in everything we need as well it was first time that we visit Maribor. We hope to come beck again.
it was a nice room, a lot of space, the hotel is located very close to the city. The lady at the reception was not friendly and did not listen to what I am saying, my words were cut by her several times - I never had this before 😕. I cancelled my breakfast, due to corona decision of the hotel you have to make the coffee by youself (with powder and boiler in your room) and breakfast would look like - see picture.
It is also one the best bars in Maribor, right in the city center. Frankly, I was afraid that it could be noisy in a room because of that, but it was not the case. The rooms are located in the back and are very quiet. Hotel staff responded quickly to my messages and helped me to check-in after a midnight. Overall, it was an exceptional experience!

This hotel is in the heart of Maribor - literally in the heart of it; you have to use a code to drive into the pedestrian area of town. The room was small but comfortable, and on-site parking was welcome. You're obviously within walking distance to everything in the city center here, including lots of cafes and restaurants.
I first stayed in this hotel/hostel about 17 years ago, and it was good then and it's good now. Great value for money for a city centre hotel, particularly as all the other hotels in the centre of Maribor are way overpriced for what you get. Overall it is a nice, comfortable hotel with excellent staff and customer service.

Very close to Maribor's city center it offers quick access to all sights and the lovely cafés of the old town. The ground-floor apartment is spacious, modern and the kitchen is well equipped. Checking in and out was super easy, making it a good choice for late arrivers and early leavers.
We booked a night here to rest on a roadtrip and it’s a nice comfortable hotel at a good location in Maribor. Perfect for a short stay, breakfast is ok and you can have a quick visit in this calm city as it is close to the center and you can leave your car at the hotel after checkout.
Superb hotel located in the very historical center of the city. Everything is brand new and very clean, the room is large enough for 3 people, the owner is very friendly. There's an option for parking inside the court and also you can order breakfast. The city center is 100 m away
Apartment is in apartment building, last floor with huge comfy terrace. less then 10 min from city center. and close by bars and restaurants are great. there are even 3 playgrounds in the park behind block.
The beds were kind of OK, and the room is enough for a one-night sleepover. It wasn't far from the city center so we could walk and didn't need a taxi or a bus. There was always a place to park our car.
