I stayed at Rooms Pri Lovrizu for 2 nights on my 10 day trip around the exceptionally beaufitul country of Slovenia.
Rooms Pri Lovrizu is located in the very quiet mountain village of Dreznica and approached by a winding road from Kobarid.
I received a very friendly welcome from the host, Monica.
My single room was basic but very clean and comfortable and offered a great view of the village and the church which was floodlit at night (the bells fortunately stop ringing late in the evening!).
The food, both evening meal and self-serve buffet breakfast, were excellent and good value for money.
Rooms Pri Lovrizu is highly recommended for an overnight stay in this part of Slovenia.
There is only a single restaurant in the village which has one set menu a day. It provides superb value for money home cooking which I thoroughly enjoyed but I suppose this could be an issue if you don’t like the set menu of the day or have special dietary requirements.

Excellent location in central Kobarid. Comfortable bed, reasonable sized apartment with a very large bathroom. There is parking for three cars directly below the property and further parking only 50m away in a small reserved car park, all free. Well located for a small town that has quite a few good restaurants in it. We only used the kitchen area for breakfast. The host seemed very responsive. We had an issue with an American couple who for whatever reason had not got their entry instructions for their apartment. I phoned the host for them and he was there within five minutes to sort them out. The apartment has views out over Kobarid square so you can sit on the balcony and watch the world go by.

The room was very nice and clean. The host seemed friendly and accommodating. The value for money is good, the other places we looked at were more expensive. We liked it for a short stay, it looked modern inside and had everything we needed for one night.
Kobarid is great for hiking. Unfortunately I was there when it was raining for days and didn't dare to do longer hikes. There is a great museum in town, but after having seen that, there's not much to do when the weather is bad.
When the weather is nice, there are many great hiking routes from and to here, and buses also help you get back from Tolmin or Bovec. Unfortunately some other non-round hikes end in Magozd or Dreznica and there is no public transportation to get back to Kobarid.
I would definitely recommend the town for 1-2 days to pass through, see the Napoleon bridge and Kozjak waterfall, and check the museum!

Kobarid was an excellent base to see sites around the Soca valley. We particularly enjoyed the pass to Predil with its ruined fortresses, the Boka waterfall, the WW1 museum, the Italian mausoleum, and the trench lines at Kolovrat.

Kobaird was a surprise for me.
Kobaird was a surprise for me. It is a neat little town, in a beautiful setting with a lot of outdoor activities, of which we didnt have time to do most. It also has some exceptional restaurants. Everyone knows about Hisa Franka but we dinned at Hotel Topli Val and the food and wine where exceptional, and I believe there are others just as good. We will definitely have to come for a longer stay

Kobarid was great.
Kobarid was great. A wonderful market with everything you could ever need and lots of lovely local specialities. A great place to do base yourself for hiking and also get to Bovec for white water rafting. Hisa Planica is in Dreznica above Kobarid. A lovely little village with great walks to beautiful waterfalls, wonderful views, the best hosts. The drive up to Dreznica is fairly winding, fine for my husband and sons, but at times I needed to close my eyes.

Naturally blessed area and a very clean town. There are a lot of water or mountain related activities that can be done around the town. There are places were food is more than great(Hisa Polonka or Kotlar) located in the center of the town.
Dear Mojca, we have had a lovely stay in your well equipped apartment. A very comfortable kitchen and a large bathroom with everything that you need, even a washing machine! Because the apartment is so comfortable, there is more time to relax and enjoy your time in the beautiful area around Kobarid. A big bonus!
Also the house is at a convenient distance from Kobarid. After dinner in the restaurants over there, the walk home was always nice and digestively ;)

Matjaz is an excellent host/proprietor of Apartment Pri Nas! So friendly! His property is spotless and meticulously taken care of. His attention to detail is evident in the gorgeous flowers all around! The rooms, we had a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apt., studio, and double room, were very comfortable and well equipped. Great location, 5 min walk to everything in Kobarid! Thank you Matjaz for your hospitality! I highly recommend this property!

Really can't recommend Hisa Uran enough - it was fabulous.
Spotless. Hosts met us in driveway with umbrellas as there was a torrential downpour. Perfect little apartment for a family of 3 (or 4) with extra bed in the kitchen. Lidija made us a cake and dried out clothes in her drier. Told us all about nearby hikes. Lovely hosts. Comfy beds. Cozy and in a beautiful spot in the mountains for hiking.
Really nice apartment, very clean!! The hosts are really nice, we had some snaps at the first night! The surroundings are beautiful, it is a small ride to Kobarid, but that is okay! You also have a restaurant in this village for 10 minutes walk where you can eat 3 courses for 20 euros. We would recommend it to everyone!
Nice location in the center of Kobarid, enough space for parking and well equipped common kitchen. Last but not least -Jernej is really a super host, not only did he prepare us excellent breakfast, but he also allowed us to leave our car at the hotel parking lot for two days between our single stays.
Spacious and clean hotel room with big bathroom. Located in the town center, eating places all close by. The room was on the road side, although not a lot of noise came in, light sleepers maybe want to use earplugs. Curtains blocked light reasonably well. There was no fridge in the room.
Nice, comfortable upstairs apartment with balcony. Few minutes walk from Kobarid city center. Great host, fun and helpful. They have an outdoor sports tour business next door to the property and rented us electric bikes for a day at a good rate. It was a fun way to explore the area!
All perfect. Great location, spacious apartment. We loved the little terrace above the apartment with partial mountain view. Private parking not available but the landlord gave us the right instructions to find a spot nearby and we had no issue finding it.
A very friendly and well located hostel in Kobarid. All the facilities are super clean and modern, and I like how the building is somewhat built into the stone wall. The beds are very comfortable and there is plenty of room in the dormitory room
