Monika was friendly, smiling, efficient, warm and welcoming. She showed me where to park, gave me a few suggestion on where to find beautiful waterfalls, gave me helpful maps in English and had an amazing breakfast spread the next morning. The bed and room (#10) was very comfortable for 1 person with all the helpful amenities one would hope for. I also really enjoyed the quaint town.

A little challenging to find - GPS was incorrect - but an unexpected gem once we did. Efficient kitchen stocked with pans, plates, silver, etc which met our needs well. Sauna and Jacuzzi tub were appreciated and used. Bed was a bit firm but honestly not enough to change our opinion that this stay was overall very pleasant. Note that there are stairs to the unit (4).

This might be the best place to stay in Kobarid, simple as that.
Tereza is an amazing host, as well as her family.
The place is in a perfect location, it is private, walkable, comfortable, and truly spectacular in every way.
We would have loved to stay longer but of course it was booked.
If you’re not sure where to stay, this is the place. You will not regret it. I will be going back for sure!

The host is helpful and welcoming. The facilities are newly renovated, spacious and comfortable. The location is excellent.
Kobarid is great for hiking. Unfortunately I was there when it was raining for days and didn't dare to do longer hikes. There is a great museum in town, but after having seen that, there's not much to do when the weather is bad.
When the weather is nice, there are many great hiking routes from and to here, and buses also help you get back from Tolmin or Bovec. Unfortunately some other non-round hikes end in Magozd or Dreznica and there is no public transportation to get back to Kobarid.
I would definitely recommend the town for 1-2 days to pass through, see the Napoleon bridge and Kozjak waterfall, and check the museum!

Kobarid was an excellent base to see sites around the Soca valley. We particularly enjoyed the pass to Predil with its ruined fortresses, the Boka waterfall, the WW1 museum, the Italian mausoleum, and the trench lines at Kolovrat.

Kobaird was a surprise for me.
Kobaird was a surprise for me. It is a neat little town, in a beautiful setting with a lot of outdoor activities, of which we didnt have time to do most. It also has some exceptional restaurants. Everyone knows about Hisa Franka but we dinned at Hotel Topli Val and the food and wine where exceptional, and I believe there are others just as good. We will definitely have to come for a longer stay

Kobarid was great.
Kobarid was great. A wonderful market with everything you could ever need and lots of lovely local specialities. A great place to do base yourself for hiking and also get to Bovec for white water rafting. Hisa Planica is in Dreznica above Kobarid. A lovely little village with great walks to beautiful waterfalls, wonderful views, the best hosts. The drive up to Dreznica is fairly winding, fine for my husband and sons, but at times I needed to close my eyes.

Naturally blessed area and a very clean town.
Naturally blessed area and a very clean town. There are a lot of water or mountain related activities that can be done around the town. There are places were food is more than great(Hisa Polonka or Kotlar) located in the center of the town.
Great place for relax and resting. Its almost at end of village, where nothing will disturb you - no people, cars, noise, just magical view on surrounding mountains. Hosts are very kind and polite people, can help, advise, or provide their own food like cheese, salami or vegetable (recommended). Appartment well equiped and clean. Good location to start hiking on nearby peaks (Krn, Krasji Vrh), closest bar or restaurant in Dreznica, supermarket in Kobarid. Parking for 2 cars.
Two new modern, clean, spacious, well-equipped apartments, on the outskirts of Kobarid, a short walk from the centre.
Apartment Soča is on the ground floor, with a small garden, outside, grill and dining table, but more exposed to the road, while Apartment Krn (which we stayed in) is up a flight of steps with a small balcony with room only for a coffee table, but offers more privacy from the road, so best to state when booking which you prefer.
Lovely little town, about 10-15 minutes windy road to nearby Kobarid.
We had the downstairs room, which didn't get much sun at all, and unfortunately our towels were damp for the 3 days we were there.
The room next to ours also shared the fridge and kettle which was between both rooms that we thought was a bit odd.
We had a very comfortable one night stay here and were glad to have chosen Kobarid instead of Bovec, it's a little smaller and quieter although both towns are nice. We ate out at the local pizzeria. A good range of food was provided for the buffet breakfast.
Friendly and helpful host who assisted with helping us dry our gear after being caught in the rain when hiking.
Clean, very comfortable accommodation. Quiet location and only a short walk into the main centre of kobarid.
