This guest house in a hamlet above Kamnik was lovely, with a very peaceful outlook and fabulous views of the Kamnik Alps just a short walk away. Our host Mira was very welcoming, with a welcome drink, homemade strudel and lots of local tourist information. Our room was a good size and had a a 4 ring gas cooktop and a fridge so we could have easily self catered but instead ate in the restaurant where we had excellent traditional food , The included breakfast was amazing and huge,
Oh and the bed was extremely comfortable.

The location is amazing, our host was very polite and we also got some nice local food.
Most of the apartment was clean.
We really liked how they decorated the apartment as a whole, it gives off the "cabin in the mountains" vibe.

Very nice place, despite there isn't a real kitchen the host is very nice and there was good coffee, milk and even fruits, something I haven't seen at much more expensive places around the country.

Lexi zen house was super cute and cozy and the best part was the big terrace and outdoor space with comfy sofas, little fairy lights and candles!!
The whole trailer was well equipped (kitchen things, spices, oil, table-ware)! Beds (with linen) were ready when we arrived and u could find towels in the closet.

-The location is both good and bad. It’s just across the road and the river into the interesting old town and just at the foot of Stari Grad the hill with the 12th century castle ruins.
-Really comfortable, roomy apartment, nicely decorated, with a small terrace you can have your breakfast coffee on.
-The apartments are set in a lovely garden with a calming water feature.
-Nice and roomy for a couple to spread out in
Well worth a visit if one is travelling about Slovenia.
Well worth a visit if one is travelling about Slovenia. It has a nice old style town and within easy car distance are some great walks in the higher mountains.
I suspect at busy times of the year and the school holidays in Europe Kamnik will be a busy place and booking early will pay dividends.

We came to Kamnik at the end of a two-week trip in Slovenia.
We came to Kamnik at the end of a two-week trip in Slovenia. We came mostly to see Velika Planina, which was worth it even if it was a cloudy, windy, and cold day up there. We stayed in Kamnik for two nights, leaving early in the morning to catch a flight on the last day. The Kamnik old town was very cool and fun to walk around for the old architecture. However, when we went (Fri-Sun in late September) almost no shops were open, which was frustrating because I could see cool handicrafts through the windows. The whole town honestly felt a bit deserted. In addition, there are very limited places to eat dinner in town.

The mountains are incredible, so different!
The mountains are incredible, so different! There's a nice historic town centre and all the villages around there are pretty and neat. You can take a cable car up the mountain which is definitely worth doing. It's so easy to get travel to anywhere you want from Kamnik so we were very happy we chose it as our base.

Charming small town, close to Ljubljana (easy access by train, bus or taxi) but handy for nearby spa and mountains. Several interesting museums. Some good bars and cafes, but evening eating options limited. Very helpful local tourist office.
The location was a stone's throw from the city of Kamnik. Great as a central point to visit the area. We chose this location as a second choice. We were supposed to have a chalet on Valike Planina. Recent flooding in Slovenia washed out the road so we lost our deposit and the chalet. In a way I was glad since this place was excellent. It had a charm that was wonderful. We had a wonderful chat with Rok, who gave advice on the area. The whole family loved it.
Pri Cesarju is the best accommodation in Kamnik. I am a regular here; the rooms are cozy, and they are well furnished. So I keep coming back when I'm in town. But the new pizzeria they added makes the stay even better. Some of the best pizza that I've ever had. Having a glass of red with it and not having to drive anywhere is amazing. I only wish I'd bring some company. Next time with the family :)
This is simply amazing area. We really enjoyed quietness and beautiful nature around. Close to Ljubljana, even closer to Kamnik (very nice historical town) or to Menina Planina (mountains). One could easily spend there much more time than just 3 days. The appartment was perfectly equipped, with a little touch of friendly supply of coffee and tea :-) Thank you Peter!
This was a little place that was very conveniently located in the center of Kamnik. It was so thoughtfully laid out and each corner had some artistic flair, painting or design that made it such a wonderful place to stay. The gardens were also really beautiful. We loved this place, and the lady who owned it was really sweet. Thank you for a lovely stay.
Beautiful small hotel with lovely surroundings few kilometers away from Ljubljana.
Rooms are modern, tidy and nicely decorated with wood and a spacious bathroom.
Service is impeccable and friendly.
Good breakfast with a view on the garden. Alexandra makes fresh waffles!
We stayed in the split level C- apartment which was just perfect for 2 people and our dog. You have every comfort you need for a short stay in Kamnik. It is the perfect base to discover the area. A store is close by. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. We loved it!
The campsite is a bit outside of Kamnik, by a very quiet side road. It's a huge lawn with lots of space to spend time. You can see the Slovenian Alps from there! In the evening we did a campfire with barbecue, which was really really nice.
Excellent gateway to great mountains above Kamnik ("Velika planina"). Excellent location, easy to find with big parking lot a front. Incredibly kind host Vesna. Lovely quiet room (although on the main road, it is very peaceful).
It is within the nature, surrounded by forest, very silent, only the sound of the birds and the nearby farm animals. And it is near Kamnik where you can explore the main sightseeing points of the region.
The hotel is incredibly charming! The building is full of character but fully modern and minutes from the old town center. Wonderful breakfast, veggie options and freshly made eggs and coffee!
Such kind hosts made our stay memorable, fantastic breakfasts & dinners. Kamnik is a beautiful medieval town, and nearby Velicka Planina was a great days outing. Highly recommended.
Great hotel; great kitchen, great breakfast, great staff; great location and Kamnik is a beautiful historic small town with great mountain views; perfect!
Very friendly owners. Great home kitchen. Splendid area to rest. If anyone loves horses, then the place to be. 20' walk to Kamnik picturesque town centre.
Everything is very nice. The the staff was very nice, especially miss Saša. All the staff are doing great to help you.
