We spent a nigt before our morning flight and chose the hotel because of the convenient location near the airport. The very nice restaurant was the main experience of our stay, the surrounding landscape is also really pretty. Very nice breakfast as well.

Amazing view from my balcony and from the house in general. The breakfast was delicious and the dinner as well. Just keep in mind that it's nice to inform the host beforehand about if you'd like to eat dinner. The room was clean and it was cool that they had a common room where you could play table tennis. The house is surrounded by beautiful forest trails and it's only a walk away from the Krvavec park and mountain peaks. I easily conquered a peak called Veliki Žvoh during my stay, for example.
The only thing you have to take into account is the fact that it is kind of a remote location, so it would be smart to rent a car or a bike. Otherwise you gotta walk 8 km down to catch the bus from Cerklje and up the mountain again every day, if you want to visit other locations and cities ;)

The location being close to the airport was a key factor in our planning. However, I would consider staying at the Grad Strmol on future trips both on arriving as well as on departure. It was fabulous.

The town is not far from the Julian Alps and from Ljubljana.
The town is not far from the Julian Alps and from Ljubljana. Even Postojna or the seaside towns can be visited from Cerklje. There is a good skiing slope in the vicinity. I recommend this town for summer and winter holidays as well.

We liked everything! The apartment was completely new, beautifully decorated and clean. Perfect size, loved the coffee machine and the fact that everything that we needed was in the apartment (dishwasher caps, shampoo, coffee, tea...). Would definitely recommend and will come back. The view was incredible, the host (Simona) friendly.
We also liked that it had room for ski equipment, racoon hotel, playground for kids, family games, smart TV, a lot of parking space ...
I stayed at the View 22 Hotel as it was close to Ljubljana Airport, which I needed to visit for work. I had only positive feelings about my stay at this hotel. The owners were very friendly and welcoming, ready to help when needed. The apartments were in great condition, clean and comfortable. I also liked that unlike many other hotels, in The View 22 apartments there are kitchens with everything you need to cook your own meals if you wish so.
Beautiful, quaint town. Lovely facility with horses, ponies and goats on the back side. Picturesque hotel with mountains framing it. Looked like a postcard! Staff was very friendly, informative and accommodating. We have a family of 5 and everyone had a bed. The rooms were very clean. Breakfast was amazing!! We arrived at the airport in less than 6 minutes:) We will definitely return the next time we are flying out of Ljubljana.
Everything exceeded our expectations. My daughter and I were treated as if we were royalty. The staff was exceptional offering help on all our needs. The breakfast was like nothing we've experienced, beautiful, delicious, set outside at our request to view the breathtaking scenery. I can think of nothing that could have made it better. A four star hotel that I would rate as five star.
The hotel is really clean and nice, everything is like on the pictures, the restaurant and breakfast they are serving is also magnificent (it is a little bit short of selections but everything they offer is very delicious), they serve water, orange juice and offer coffee (a good coffee made from a professional coffee machine) included in the breakfast. I definitely recommend.
Dinner in the restaurant was excellent. Waiter was top notch. We booked this room for just one night to be close to the airport for an early morning flight. Perfect for that. Just a short taxi ride away. Hotel prepared us box breakfasts to go since we checked out before breakfast. Very nice facilities that suited our needs perfectly
The property is pristine clean. The bathroom amenities were really good. The room was comfortable and had new appliances and 2 tvs. The property has a great playground for kids. Luka was kind and helpful he picked us up from the hotel and had good communication. The breakfast was also really good. We were completely satisfied.
A lovely hotel with very friendly hosts. Always willing to help with anything we need. We only stayed one night, but we wanted to stay more days. The hotel has a few animals around, which makes the stay even more interesting. Breakfast is delicious (we can make great waffles).

It is also good if one wants to be close Lubliana. Nothing to do in the area of the hotel, simply nothing. Go there only if you have a car, of course.
The location was lovely, setting very pretty and the look of the castle extremally nice. As only a section is used as hotel and the rest is a museum and we were given a guided tour which was an added bonus. Extremally handy for the airport max. 15 mins away by car.

Hotel right next to top of cable car and that is the best way to get there. Also next to all the ski lifts and can ski to the door.

it is a family run hotel/apartments and that is what is great about this place. You immediately get close to the people running it and my kids enjoyed playing with the owners grandchildren.
