I was about to arrive a bit late and while sitting on the train Lina from hotell Hilda contacted me about my arrival. In the end I managed to arrive in time and I met Lina and she took good time in showing me the room and the other facilities. I felt very welcomed! Good location with easy walking distance from the city centre.

Very close to the castle Karlmar, easy to walk to. Beautiful park with a kid’s playground across the street. Very friendly staff. Breakfast variety was good with plenty to eat.

Perfect location where we could walk to restaurants, shops, and the town square. The breakfast was amazing! It was the best breakfast buffet we've seen and it was included in the room rate. We were even able to park the car overnight around the corner for free.

We loved the history and location. It is next to the museum in the older historical area. We arrived on a Saturday and there wasn't to much going on during Sunday so it was relatively quiet. We're upset we didn't book for a longer stay.
The staff was very helpful in keeping medical supplies safe and cold. Definitely a huge help when traveling with multiple medications.

Kalmar is a nice city.
Kalmar is a nice city. The old city walls and the castle give it a good feel. It's easy to take a day trip to Öland from here. I wouldn't recommend this during the fall season as it gets quite cold and windy. I must recommend the restaurant E.A.T.. This restaurant has very heartwarming staff and a great atmosphere.

The guides were very acquainted with the history of the castle and entertaining at the same time specially with the children. We saw the Vasa exhibition, the castle is well preserved and we went 2 times to see it all. Very good experience.

This was my second time in Kalmar and for the second time I went to Ernesto's Italian Restaurant and had a most excellent meal with very good service. Kalmar is a town with lots of history and historic sites, to be contrasted with the modern university. The Slottshotel was very pleasant and located close to the old centre of the town. The weather could have been better but it was December. The old squares, the watch tower and the castle are all delightful. Kalmar is easy to get around though a car is a bit of a nuisance in the old centre. There are many local buses and a train service to a number of main locations including Copenhagen and Kastrup
The hotel was really lovely—charming decor, helpful staff, delicious breakfast. The location is fabulous—close to central station, downtown, and the harbor. The hotel restaurant is really, really good—-with a really lively dinner scene. Creative pizzas (our fave was a roasted brisket pizza with tarragon cream) and equally creative salads.
We were staying at the Budget accommodation and it was to expensive. This is a hostel and shouldn't be allowed to be called hotel. A water bottle costed 40 sek and there was no fridge. The bathroom was from the -80's, bad condition. The breakfast was good, but we will never come back and stay at a hostel for this fee.
Nice and clean apartment in villa area. Bed sheets were provided but bedmaking were for the guests to do themselves. Main issue was the location. While it is advertised as "cozy apartments in Kalmar centre", it was in fact located more than 30 minutes walk from the centre. Very inconvenient for someone without a car.
The friendliest dog friendly hotel ever! We received a doggie welcome package which included bowls, treats, dog towels and sheets. The room was clean and nice and there was a nice large yard to walk the fur balls. There was a pool, sauna, tennis courts and entertainment rooms. Definitely staying there again!
The hotel was lovely and so warm and welcoming and clean. We loved staying here and were so close to everything . Kalmar is a gorgeous city, so fun and relaxing. The staff were helpful and friendly and room was great. We didn't want to leave.
The building and the location in Kalmar can't be better, looking to a beautiful square close by to the train station, the building is full of charm and heritage. Restaurant is one the best in town if you like meat.
I liked how peaceful/quiet it was, but it would have been nice to see more fellow travelers.
The kitchen was spacious with 2 refrigerators.
I hope to return to Kalmar some day, maybe to Svanen.
Walking distance to train and bus central, old town, Kalmar Castle etc., but on a quiet picturesque side street, and with a beautiful court yard. The room and bathroom was nice and big.
Great hotel. Location is just in the city center, but calm. The cleaness is super, the food is tasty n healthy. Most of all the staff are friendly n ready to help.
Breakfast was great. And you could see the hotel was renovated. But room size compared to bathroom size was a bit odd. Bathroom was bigger then bedroom.
