Anantara Maia Seychelles Villas, hotel in Mahe

This luxurious resort on Mahe features air-conditioned villas overlooking the Indian Ocean. Anantara Maia Seychelles Villas features a gourmet restaurant and a wellness centre.

My husband and I stayed at Anantara Maia Seychelles Villas for our honeymoon and my birthday for a week from the end of May to early June. We had an amazing experience at the villas, as heavenly as Seychelles itself. We have to say the villa and the whole team exceeded our expectations - of course, you expect certain things in luxury hotels, but what impressed us the most is how effortless everything is under the care of everyone here, the exact reason why we picked it here. We want to express our special thanks to our butler Anton, the Director of Operations Anil Kumar, our taxi drivers Pat and Kelvin, and a few more staffs we don’t remember the names of including spa teams, buggy teams, front desks, the ladies who checked in and out for us, restaurant chefs and staffs, beach staffs, taxi drivers, and people who we randomly met at the villas and simply said hi to us. Thank you all for making our experience so special. I wish you all the best and I look forward to staying at Anantara Maia Seychelles Villas again in the future.

Riverside Mount Simpson - Seychelles Island, hotel in Mahe

Located in Mahe, 500 metres from Anse Marie Laure Beach and 1.2 km from Beau Vallon Beach, Riverside Mount Simpson - Seychelles Island offers a garden and air conditioning.

With the mountain view to the one side, the river on the other and the ocean view in front, there is nothing that can beat this. The property seems newly build and therefore everything is in a perfect condition. The host and her husband were amazing. They even arranged for a rental vehicle for us. We received a welcoming coconut drink which was amazing.

Effie Mountain View coco villa, hotel in Mahe

Boasting garden views, Effie Mountain View coco villa provides accommodation with balcony, around 4.6 km from Seychelles National Botanical Gardens.

The host Shirley was very accommodating with allowing us to relax in the garden prior to the room being cleaned due to our early arrival from the airport. Lovely apartment with nice garden area, not far from Airport on either bus or by car. Very happy. Ideally, you would have a car when staying here to give you access to the island, but busses run every 15 mins from bus stop outside. Shop over the road and also couple of minutes walk away to get basics. We both enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

Azamat Self-Catering Apartment, hotel in Mahe

Situated in Mahe and only 2.9 km from Seychelles Airport Beach, Azamat Self-Catering Apartment features accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking.

We arrived late in the evening on Mahe and had to catch an early flight the next morning so this apartment was perfect for a one-night stay as it is 3 min from the airport. Mohammed was an excellent friendly host who was there to welcome us personally and went out of his way to ensure that we were comfortable and had everything we needed.

We loved the warm, friendly Seychellois welcome on arrival.

We loved the warm, friendly Seychellois welcome on arrival. The island is absolutely stunning, from the wild jungle and huge granite mountains to the pristine beaches and indescribably blue sea. The driving is crazy - the roads are not straight with lots of steep curves and bends, so drive carefully if you hire a car to explore the island, which is highly recommended. There are lots of hidden gems - we ate at Maria's Rock which was a fabulous experience, and we highly recommend eating at the Boat House on Beau Vallon beach and the Green House in Au Cap. Buy freshly caught fish from the fish sellers on the side of the road and cook your own - it is cheap and delicious. Food in general, whether you are eating out or buying from one of the local corner grocery stores, is very pricey, so beware! Visit the Botanical Gardens and grab a delicious pastry and ice cream from the Polish owned bakery just across the road and down from the Botanical Gardens entrance. Definitely visit the Mission Ruins in Venn's Town in the Morne Seychellois National Park, the views are breathtaking. Also visit the beach at Anse Soleil for the best sunsets.

I really enjoyed Praslin - I had stayed 6 days in Praslin and 5 in Mahe. If I ever come back (i would love too) i would stay only one day in Mahe and the rest in Praslin. I brought my own coffee, the supermarkers are available but tehy had only nescafe, the available products are imported and expensive compare to Europe(butter, bear, bread and so one). It worth renting a car right from teh boat - if you are nor tired (They drive on the left side !!). Taxi is extremelly expensive and not available - for teh New Year we call two number , did not get any answer so we went using the renting car). You need a car and in my opion public transportation is not a solution. You can pay with car almost everywhere except for taxi (I used Revolut) so you do not need a lot of cash in rupees. Some restaurant they charge you also for service on the bill 5% or 10%. Best Beach Four Season Good restaurant Green House Le duc - Praslin Le repaire- La digue

We hired cars for our holiday group and went shopping, sight seeing of Victoria city and the whole Mahe island and out evenings to restaurants and entertainment. We also did the glass bottom boat full day trip and were pleasantly surprised on this trip to meet his Excellency the State President and First Lady of Seychelles also spending relaxing time at the Beach House on one of the islands, where this lovely couple so graciously addressed the visitors to the island and so kindly gave our group from South Africa audience and a photo shoot opportunity that was the highlight of our visit to Seychelles.

Beautiful island with a little for every taste: amazing beaches (for families, adults and snorkelling), great scuba diving, water activities and excursions, amazing nature trails, good choice of restaurants. If you want to explore the island car rental (40/50 €/day)is a must as public transport is limited (waiting time can be 30/40 mins - 7SR each ride). If you want to explore the best beaches or plantations/waterfalls/attractions consider a car.

Mahe is great! I loved it so much.

Mahe is great! I loved it so much. Firstly the Ocean for sure, with lots of beaches along the costs. There's plenty of activities to do like snorkeling, diving, surfing, kayaking, hiking, etc. Due to Covid-19 they have some restrictions of course but still you can have a great time there. Restaurants and bars are open until 10 pm, but some of them close earlier to allow their staff to get homes before curfew. Shops, minimarkets close at 7 pm. Wearing of masks is mandatory in public places, and they register your name country and temperature at the entrance in every restaurant, café, shop, etc. to have a track of visitors. To get around you can either rent a car or use a taxi, public buses are not allowed for tourists now because of COVID-19. Overall the place is very safe. People are super welcoming, helpful, friendly and always smiling. There's a great choice of what to eat depends on your personal taste but most popular is fish and seafood of course. Just go there, relax by the beach, get some walk around. In Mahe you forget about your everyday problems and routines, you are just enjoying being in the moment.

It was a bit difficult to find coconut climb but when we did it was well worth it. The view is spectacular and the property is beautifully decorated and very well equipped. The host Vivienne was very friendly and welcoming and was available via WhatsApp for any questions or recommendations. This is the perfect property for a group of friends or a family gathering. Good location for exploring the island of Mahe but a hire car is a must! Lovely short stay here! Thank you!

Everything was perfect! The owners are so nice. They were cleaning every day, throwing the garbage. They gave us good recommendations where to buy fresh fish and allowed us to use their barbecue in the garden! Bare in mind that your will defensively need rent a car if you choose to stay in this area. The Villa Bella has everything you would need for a perfect stay on Mahe island. Highly recommended!

Good location, in the middle of the jungle. This part of the island was not our prefered one, but it is just our opinion. However, the hotel is incredible, built in wood and placed in a very quiet place sourrended by the jungle, vith views all around the room and a fantastic balcony. The pool is incredible too and stars must be seen from here at night. We had a lovely stay.

The customer service and hospitality is 10/10, the location of the hotel is very convenient close to the airport, vicotria, as well as a 2 min drive to eden island. The hotel facilitates car rental service which was very convenient. The aroma massage at the spa is very highly recomended. The view from the villa is just out of this world!

    1. The room is neat and comfortable. 2. The kitchen is extremely well equipped. 3. The rooms with the 'mini' swimming pool have the pool exclusively for the room. Despite the beautiful beach in front to the hotel, my 4 year old enjoyed the pool more. 5. The 2 Nepali-Indian staff are very helpful.
