This is a wonderful place to stay. Our room was spacious and tastefully decorated, with a very comfortable bed with luxury bedding. The breakfast is amazing - delicious homegrown organic food for dinner too. You are made to feel totally at home and relaxed to enjoy the main house and the gardens by the friendly staff. We particularly enjoyed feeding the donkeys carrots provided by the kitchen 🥰 We loved Rutete so much that we went back there after visiting Akagera Park to spend another night, changing our plans so that we could enjoy the relaxing ambience of the Lodge again. The service was very good, nice view from the rooms, and the food was very delicious. The personnel helped us with booking a car and guide for the national park and provided us with lunch packages. The Lodge is super close to the south entrance, which was comfortable. We would highly recommend this place for anyone visiting the national park.
