What an amazing place! It is the perfect place to break up the journey between Akagera and Kigali. Stunning setting, friendly staff, great service, lovely food. What more could you ask for? Btw, some reviewers have complained about noise; this is NOT from Vintage Cottage itself, but a nearby hotel. During our stay we only heard it at the weekend. If you want quiet then plan to go during the week. Though we didn't find the music too bad and the place itself is absolutely worth it.

Rutete Ecolodge is a wonderful little place with very nicely built and decorated bungalows. Everything is very well designed and comfortable, and the dinner is excellent. Welcoming staff and everything is very clean. We also got a lot of help finding the way and guides for the akagera parc
