You have to watch out for the drivers though, as they don't really respect anything whatsoever, especially not pedestrians.

Very friendly people especially in the country side, food is absolutely delicious (ask the waiter what's good and try local cuisine) . Great light for photography nearly every day and some cool characters to shoot in Tara Oasului! If you like fishing there are lots of lakes around the city and people love to fish over there.

Great city in the north of Romania to visit and for a weekend or longer. Fantastic terraces and small restaurants serving traditional food like The Dome & No Pardon. Beautiful surroundings worth exploring.
This was not my first stay in Satu Mare, but it was the first time in hotel Viena and if I was to return, this will be my choice:
- VERY spacious and nicely decorated rooms
- very comfortable beds
- crystal clear
- 5min walk from Satu Mare center
- very good breakfast with the BEST juicy omelette I had since 2018 in (5* hotel) Turkey
- the reception really works 24/7 - we arrived after midnight at 01:00 and didnt have to wait or call anyone
- late checkout at 12:30 free of charge

Restaurant Verdi (located 10m from the hotel)-one of the best culinary experience ever at a still good value for the money.Perfectly cooked dishes.I have tried the potato cream soup, pork neck together with truffles mashed potatoes and banana mousse.Very good choices for wine and if you are a solo traveller you can go for the glass option.
The apartment is lovely, beautifully decorated and very homely. I rang the bell on arrival and got no answer, so sent a WhatsApp message, which got an immediate response and the keys were brought to me. As someone who needs a dark room to sleep, I particularly appreciated the shutter on the window. Amenities are close by, including a 24hr minimarket and the city centre is about 20 minutes' walk away. There is street parking directly outside the block.
Brand new hotel, modern and stylish design, perfectly clean, large comfortable room, very comfortable bed, great shower, secure parking and a very generous breakfast to go as we left early. Staff was also very helpful and friendly. We had an excellent stay and will be sure to come back!
There was a code to enter so you can access the room 24/7. There was a private parking spot.

Totally in the city centre, just next to the main square and a beautiful park. Cafés and shops all around. Nice stairway, easy access. Owner did not bother with extra questions or tasks, super. Lots of free parking places in the weekend.
The apartment is excellent, new, stylish and very spacious. It is situated in a quiet area but not far from the city center. We felt like home and we will surely return to this apartment when we visit Satu Mare. Highly recommend!
Satu mare is one of the most boring peasent city of Romania.. nothing to see.. nothing to do.. and the people ))) they are peasent “ osan” people ...moron disgusting Hungarian people and 5 penny Hungarian gypsy...
This hotel is a gem. Located in a somewhat secluded but very quiet area. Great place to rest and recharge while traveling. Stayed here a few times and I plan to return. I would highly recommend it.
