This is a mountain house so don't expect luxury but the rooms were clean, the shower has hot water, kitchen is well equipped, towels are there and you can sleep comfortably. There is no wifi nor roaming service for most so expect the best relax ever, the surroundings are astonishing, virgin nature, thick woods, beatiful for your rest

It is a small village, but well placed to visit the surroundings. We hiked on Petreasa Peak, second day we went to visit some caves and waterfalls. The location is close to Arieseni (mountain area, ski area, with a lot of things to do). There are some gems to visit in the nearby (Scarisoara, Pestera Poarta lui Ionele, Izbucul Tauz)

To start this, i strongly recommend hiking and mountain walks on marked paths by mountain guards. We've spent an entire day walking in Garda de Sus, from Poarta lui Ionele cave, through the woods to Scărișoara Glacier and back, following marked paths. Also another places you must go are: Vârciorog Fall, Cheile Ordâncușii and Galbenei, Vârtop Glacier, Izbucul Tăuz and Cotețul Dobreștilor, Groapa Ruginoasă. Walking to those objectives is ideal, it offers you stunning views and experiences, but you can also reach most of them by car.

IT is beautiful area offering a lot of hiking Routes, caves,... The roads are partly renovated, the construction works are ongoing, so improvement is close. Také enough cash, there are no options to withdraw money and to pay by card. The shops are closed on Sundays and their offer is simple. Learn Romanian, nobody spoke English /German.
