Probably the best place in Europe if you’re into golf.
Probably the best place in Europe if you’re into golf. Lots of courses within a short driving distance. Check for special deals at Quinta do Lago, Vale do Lobo and Dom Pedro Golf as they can save you quite a lot of money on green fees.

We decided to come day earlier for a language exam. Vilamoura with its infamous marina seemed like a great location for a vlog. However, we were a bit disappointed when we arrived. I guess it's a great city if you expect to dine, chill at the beach, or play golf.
Otherwise, I would choose Lagos or Faro over Vilamoura

On the other hand a nice beach, beautiful marina, some good restaurants. Easy to walk around with good pavements. Good place for the elderly and golfers.

Vilamoura is a beautiful, safe and wonderful location.
Vilamoura is a beautiful, safe and wonderful location. The Portuguese people are lovely. The marina is fabulous, as are the restaurants surrounding it. There are also wonderful restaurants which are not on the marina also, eg El Castizo Mexican which is about 5 minutes walk from Marina. One of the best pubs is the Punter, which is located one street behind the marina. Quarteira is only a 15 minute coastal walk from the marina.

Absolutely fantastic hotel. Amazing location only a 2 minute walk from marina, spotlessly clean, lovely staff. I’ve stayed in several places in Vilamoura and this was by far the best. It blew the Tivoli out of the water and is half the price.
I had stayed at Dom Pedro Marina and Portobello hotels before but the Dom Pedro Vilamoura is definitely the best of the three. The quality of everything is just that bit higher than the other two. The location is an absolute winner too.
Breakfast was included with our stay. Beautiful buffet with plenty to select from. The omelette was a winner every day. Hotel is located just 2 minutes from the Marina. Very clean, staff very friendly. I would highly recommend.
Excellent choice of food at breakfast. Good pool layout, plenty of comfortable sunbeds. Very convenient and efficient free shuttle to the Vilamoura Marina - given the hotel's location, this was an important service.
