VNDG gives the most amazing views of Porto. A short walk across the bridge to the city. Its flat where I stayed but the city is very steep with lots of steps so wear sneakers. The tiled churches as stunning. Doing all the touristy things - I caught the cable car, the tram, the furnicular, shopped the markets, visited the churches, climbed the tower, booked for the Livraria Lella, had a glass of wine at the market, went to wine bars, Time Out market for dinner and Portuguese tarts with coffee.
I had a fabulous time and visited World of Wine as Porto is a Great Wine Capital.

Beautiful part of Porto, right over the river with plenty to do. Most of the Porto wine "caves" are on this side of the river but getting across is a quick uber ride. We did a Tuk Tuk tour as well and got to enjoy a Fado performance at night. New Years Eve dinner cruise was great but book ahead so you don't miss out! I would definitely visit again!

The area has plenty of interesting things to visit.
The area has plenty of interesting things to visit. Of course, the region is very well known for the vineyards and the respective Port wine cellars, which you can visit and even have a wine tasting. A walk by the river is also recommended.

Being across the river from the old town means gorgeous views and a wonderful relaxed vibe. So many great places to eat and drink all within a short walk. And the old town is easily accessible by foot, tram, even cable car. You are surrounded by the port warehouses, and other renovated industrial buildings. The whole area has had a recent facelift and the city as a whole is very safe and friendly. Everywhere you go the staff and shopkeepers go out of their way to make sure you have an amazing stay. Except the lady in the tourist information. She must have been having a bad day!

Antonio and Carla were amazing! Antonio booked us dinner reservations ahead of our arrival at two different restaurants which were fantastic. He answered all of my questions in a very timely manner. Carla spent over 30 minutes with us helping to map out our day to maximize seeing as much as possible of Porto in one day. She also gave us a great recommendation for lunch. Both Antonio and Carla went above and beyond to make our stay the best it could be. I’ve already recommended Charm to a friend of mine who will be visiting in a month or so.
Once found, this was like a little oasis in the Porto region. The little house is completely enclosed in a very spacious yard with a pool and parking space. Although on the opposite side of Porto center, bus transport was close by, convenient and cheaper than parking. A large shopping area is within walking distance. Our host, Nino, was very helpful and knowledgeable. We so enjoyed sitting out on the terrace each evening. Both grocery store and restaurants were close by.
Amazing location with a stunning view over Porto. A quiet area, out of the caos but still very convenient to visit the city and super close to the wineries. The rooms was spacious, very well equipped and with a breath taking view.
The staff is incredibly kind and efficient and ready to take care of any need and request.
We travelled with our dog and the hotel is a pet friendly oasis in a country where is not vey easy to travel with your pet.
Highly recommended.
Excellent location, stunning view from our room. We were in Porto during a heatwave and the pool saved us! Everything was incredibly clean and the included breakfast was delicious. Stylish rooms and excellent décor. Attentive reception and housekeeping staff. The hotel helped organize a wine tour of the Douro Valley and we didn't have to do anything other than show up and pay. Highly recommend.
We liked the hotel with its ambiance and kind and helpful staff. We really loved the good taken care of buffet breakfast tabel. the hotelroom has good beds, a view on the garden and was nice silent. When we come back to Porto/Vila Nova de Gaia we will choose this hotel again. It lies close by the river, restaurants and easy walk distance across the beautiful 'Eiffel' bridge to Porto.
Newly renovated and immaculately clean apartment in a great location. Comfy bed and sofabed and amazing power shower. Hosts were super friendly and really helpful with travel advice. Outdoor swimming pool was a nice bonus too. Absolutely loved Vila Nova de Gaia which was a more relaxing location than central Porto. We really enjoyed our stay - highly recommended!
Loved the view over the Atlantic and loved the location, able to walk to bars and restaurants close by but also able to walk, about an hour or so if done at a reasonable pace without stops, in to Porto along the river bank. The restaurant that is linked with the hotel, just down the hill has excellent food and view.
What a hotel! A must stay when in Porto and we preferred staying on the Gaia side. Literally right next to port lodges and walkable to everything. It was like the Ritz Carlton with Marriot prices. We ate at the Yeatman restaurant which was the best meal of my life. Absolutely loved this place and will be returning.
Our stay was great. The apartment is as advised on Booking, very clean, spacious, comfortable, sheltered from outside noise, and contains everything one should need for a short stay in Portugal. The location is very close to all the important places in Vila Nova de Gaia and we had no problem finding it as.
Hotel was easy to find and had secure parking garage for my motorbike. Reception staff were brilliant and helped us sort out the bus for going into the centre of Porto.
Room was clean with adequate space for the price. It also had a kettle for the the all important cup of tea!!!
Everything about Gaia Roasters was exceptional. The room was very nicely appointed and very comfortable, the staff went above and beyond to be helpful, and the breakfast was amazing (as is their coffee). And you couldn't have a better location to explore Porto & Gaia.
The view of Porto is spectacular, sunset can’t be beat - the bed and bedding is comfortable - nice to have a fridge and kettle. The room is nicely decorated. Great location, very close to the river and the bridge over to Porto
Friendly low key hotel in a beautiful and quiet setting in the perfect location for exploring Porto. The people working at this hotel went out of their way to ensure that we had a great stay, which we did!
The hotel was lovely, so was the staff location good room was lovely and to our surprise we was upgraded, thank you. We are stopping again in the Hilton Porto in two weeks time, I am hoping it’s as nice
Perfect location and great service throughout the hotel from reception to the bar. Probably the best location to stay in the whole or Porto. Would certainly stay here again.
