Before arrival, our key concern was if internet will be sufficient to do work video calls and it was all fine and worked very well.
Set in Velas, Velasmar provides accommodation with a seating area, a flat-screen TV and a kitchen. Each unit features an oven, microwave, a coffee machine, as well as a toaster.

The location was really good, next to a natural pool. There are restaurants and a grocery shop near by. It has a really great view on Pico mountain. There are plenty of parking space in front of the building.
The check in went smoothly, and the owner was able to arrange a morning check in for us, so it's worth asking, but it based on availability and other guests leaving time.

Amazing, new Apartment with everything you need for a few nights. Looks just like in the pictures. We stayed here for three days to discover Sao Jorge Island and it was just perfect. Joselina is a great host and helped us with infos and suggestions on what to do.

Wonderful little gem of a hotel on Sao Jorge. This remodeled historic property maintains the quaint feel of life in the centuries past. The staff is very friendly and extremely accommodating if there is anything you need or any questions you may have. The breakfast is an amazing traditional breakfast and we never left hungry. This hotel hasn't been around long, but they are doing such a great job I think they will be around a long time. Beautiful property too with a pool, garden, and little farm where they raise chickens for the eggs you eat at breakfast.
This is definitely where we will stay again next time we come to Sao Jorge! Thank you!!

The host was very welcoming and gave us a lot of useful tips for our trip.
The location and view were stunning looking straight at Pico mountain! It was great to seat outside at the balcony and enjoy the view with a glass of wine and some cheese!
We were also offered bread, milk and a homemade banana jam for breakfast which was perfect.
We would stay here again if we return to Sao Jorge!
