Our stay was overall excellent. The room was spacious, blending original architecture with contemporary conveniences and thoughtful amenities, including charming touches like regional biscuits in a little basket. A wonderfully spacious and most comfortable bed. The magnificent view of the castle, the spotless, spacious bathroom, and the delightful veranda overlooking the castle made it even more special. The hostess was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Our stay felt like stepping into a timeless embrace, where every detail - from the grandeur of the castle view to the warmth of small, thoughtful gestures - wove together a perfect harmony of past and present.

Nice and cosy guest house / boutique hotel. Simple but nice decoration giving the place a nice feel. Close to the church square, restaurants and other amenities. Free parking in a number of streets nearby. Breakfast was also nice, particularly the fresh orange juice. There was also lactose free milk and some cooked breakfast (eggs, bacon and sausages).
The herdade is isolated from everything, a quiet location in Alentejo, near Portel. Rooms are new and very confortable and they managed to keep some sense of rural originality when renewing the facilities to have some 10-12 rooms to rent.
Nice pool area, great spot for relaxing (there's not much, if anything, to do there so one needs to go on relax mood).
Breakfast was very nice and staff were friendly and very attentive. Price is fair.
Beautiful location on the hill with amazing views. A sense of calm and quiet to relax. you have to drive about 3km our of Portel on unmade road to get to the property which is part of a working farm . The room was a good size and furnished in quaint traditional style. Manuela was a lovely host and we really appreciated her flexibility for us to have an early breakfast on departure. Breakfast was superb .
Cozy, clean and well equiped house. Perfect for a family or close group of friends. Perfect for a runaway from a city. Portel is a calm town, surrounded by nature, good food and nice local people.
This is a great place to stay for families and groups of friends for some days, exploring Portel, Evora and the surrounding areas. So helpful and nice hosts, so fantastic house. Just great.
Short stay, but very comfy house easy acess a very pleasant environment. It's not my first time in Portel, already known the area good weather. Definitely recommend
