I was looking forward to staying at this place - and It didn’t disappoint me! Stylish, modern, great architecture perfectly built-in the surrounding nature, featuring cool colorful details. The room was great, the view - amazing! I liked the outdoor pool a lot, as well as hot tub with 180* view on the ocean. I also spotted try yoga studio there - will try next time. The staff is very friendly and helpful, check-in and checkout are quick and smooth. The breakfast is amazing, featuring buffet and menu.

Very nice owner, though she didn't speak english. But she really tried to provide everything possible. One of the friends was sick, the owner brought herbal tea, honey, pastilles. The views from the house are fantastic.

Great walks (Levadas) in the area. Accommodation was outstanding. Immaculate inside! Great outdoor space. Extremely kind and caring Host. Private parking space. One of the best places we have stayed at.

Very nice small town with a nice beach and good restaurants. There are 2 levadas to walk. There is a small shop in town where you can find everything you need. Good connection to the main road that runs along the coast to the capital. A cafe on the cliff and a cape where you can walk and see the cliffs on both sides.

Ponta do Sol in itself is nothing really special.
Ponta do Sol in itself is nothing really special. But given the fact that you have rental car you can just discover the whole island.
It is highly recommended to visit Calheta, there is a very nice harbour and little boulevard. Must go there is restaurant Manifattura Di Gelato.
Another very good restaurant is La Vaca Negra in Funchal; best steaks ever!

Such a pretty little place - lots of winding streets - many pedestrian only, and good restaurants too. We mostly ate at the hotel, but also at a restaurant called Caprice which was fantastic and great value for money.
We were delighted to find lots of interesting sculpture around the place which was fascinating, and the people were all very chilled and welcoming.
The pavements are mostly cobbled, and of course there are lots of hills so challenging if your mobility is reduced as my parent's was - didn't stop us though - we just took our time and there were regular places to sit and rest along the way.

Its a very good place to base yourself as its very easy to get around the island from there, there are may different walks within a short drive.. It is a very small but quaint place. You get the most amazing sunsets in Ponta do Sol .
We had a perfect time at Encanto do Sol! The views are amazing and the garden had so much to offer - from delicious fruit and herbs to relaxing spots from which to enjoy the views. The appartment itself has everything you need and was super clean. On top of that, Juan and Catia are amazing hosts, very kind and welcoming and always ready to help and offer advice. Ponta do Sol is a cute and relaxed town from which you can easily explore the rest of the island. All in all, it was a perfect stay and we couldn't wish for anything else!
The location was great with beautiful views. It's very quiet and we could enjoy every part of the island easily by car. There is also a cool short Banana route close by the RB2 Vereda do Nateiro and other beautiful waterfalls at Ponta do Sol. The garage is a bit tricky if you have a low car. It has a nicely equipped kitchen. They had a welcome basket with fruits for us. It is ideal for a family or a group of friends. We would definitely choose the same place next time.

Perfect location with a beautiful view, large rooms, comfortable beds, very clean. A quiet neighborhood. Tasty breakfast but almost every day the same. You can order pancakes or an omelette with toppings. The hotel has a small gym, an indoor swimming pool and sauna, and a terrace on the top for sunbathing. Friendly and helpful staff. You could leave your car in the underground car-park for free. The evening with Madeira dances was very nice. There are bars and restaurants around the corner.
We loved our stay at Zino's! The staff were all lovely and so accommodating. Jonas, Valerio & Telma we can't thank you enough for everything and it was so great to chat to you. Food at the hotel was great and the team had such good local suggestions that we checked out and loved. Steak & Sun in Ponta do Sol as well as A Taberna Madalena do Mar on the beach. Really recommend! The hotel is pretty small and boutique so super quiet and relaxing. We can't wait to come back :) Laura & Adi x
Adelaide - is very perfect and empathic host, very helpfull with every issue we had, She sent us links to nearest facilities and had time for a small chat :). Facility exceeded our expectations regarding space, parking place , hospitality and of course nice tarace view at the ocean. Bathroom and kitchen had all necesary facilities , with some welcome fruits. It was very nice place to relax and arrange trips across island.
Calm area, no turists, but car is a must.

It is the best place to stay, if you want to explore the island.. it is max 1 hour to every corner of island and Ponta do Sol is the most sunny place on Madeira, so even on other parts of island was bad weather, here was mostly sunny.
Unbeatable value-for-money. If you are into traveling around the island with a rented car (especially into the mountains) and you prime functional accommodation with a more than reasonable price, this is it. Put that together with two of the most friendly, atentive, and accommodating hosts I have ever met, and you get a picture of what waits for you if you book this place.
The Hotel is beautiful and the perfect escape. The in-house restaurant is very charming. Breakfast is also fantastic. Would suggest it is an ideal honeymoon/romantic break spot. The customer service is out of this world. First class all the way. Hire a car if you want to go out anywhere, but you could equally just stay at the complex the whole time.
The hosts were wonderful! They provided baskets of fresh fruit and delicious breakfast foods. The property itself is absolutely beautiful with stunning views and loads of space. We really enjoyed the pool after a day of hiking. We walked to town for cafes and restaurants and while it was a hike uphill on the return taxis were easy to find.

Really clean and well equipped apartment, has everything a person need to stay mid to long term. The restaurant right opposite is such a gem too. Walking distance to supermarkets and view points nearby. Ideal for those who travel as a couple or want to stay long term and cook etc
Our Stay with the whole family was really nice and the house exceeded our expectations. There was nothing we were missing and the house was very beautiful. I can recommend anyone to stay here, one of the best places available near ponta do sol.
The location at Ponta do Sol is a great decision. Very kind owner that will care about you! We also had possibility to wash our clothes during the stay. Nice clean apartment with a possibility to breakfast outside the table.
Great boutique hotel in the hills with marvellous views and amenities. It felt like a small country house hotel, but more affordable. Dinner and breakfast was very good. Lounge areas delightful and full of games and books.
Definitely the most unique place we stayed. You take an elevator up the property where the views are spectacular! It’s a bit of a big hotel, but with a small hotel charm. The town was one of the most charming we visited!
