I was looking forward to staying at this place - and It didn’t disappoint me! Stylish, modern, great architecture perfectly built-in the surrounding nature, featuring cool colorful details. The room was great, the view - amazing! I liked the outdoor pool a lot, as well as hot tub with 180* view on the ocean. I also spotted try yoga studio there - will try next time. The staff is very friendly and helpful, check-in and checkout are quick and smooth. The breakfast is amazing, featuring buffet and menu.

Very nice small town with a nice beach and good restaurants. There are 2 levadas to walk. There is a small shop in town where you can find everything you need. Good connection to the main road that runs along the coast to the capital. A cafe on the cliff and a cape where you can walk and see the cliffs on both sides.

Ponta do Sol in itself is nothing really special.
Ponta do Sol in itself is nothing really special. But given the fact that you have rental car you can just discover the whole island.
It is highly recommended to visit Calheta, there is a very nice harbour and little boulevard. Must go there is restaurant Manifattura Di Gelato.
Another very good restaurant is La Vaca Negra in Funchal; best steaks ever!

Such a pretty little place - lots of winding streets - many pedestrian only, and good restaurants too. We mostly ate at the hotel, but also at a restaurant called Caprice which was fantastic and great value for money.
We were delighted to find lots of interesting sculpture around the place which was fascinating, and the people were all very chilled and welcoming.
The pavements are mostly cobbled, and of course there are lots of hills so challenging if your mobility is reduced as my parent's was - didn't stop us though - we just took our time and there were regular places to sit and rest along the way.

Its a very good place to base yourself as its very easy to get around the island from there, there are may different walks within a short drive.. It is a very small but quaint place. You get the most amazing sunsets in Ponta do Sol .
After two days of staying at the hotel, we discovered the gorgeous pool and spa area with 180 degree views of the coastlines. There is a bar at the top of the spa area that is perfect for sunsets....the bar is on an honor system so you pour your own drinks and write it on a tab. We were the only ones on the outside deck to watch sunset and it was perfect!
The main restaurant and outside seating area is gorgeous and the food is delicious. We ate dinner two nights at the restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed it.
The location was great with beautiful views. It's very quiet and we could enjoy every part of the island easily by car. There is also a cool short Banana route close by the RB2 Vereda do Nateiro and other beautiful waterfalls at Ponta do Sol. The garage is a bit tricky if you have a low car. It has a nicely equipped kitchen. They had a welcome basket with fruits for us. It is ideal for a family or a group of friends. We would definitely choose the same place next time.

The sea view was absolutely incredible, as was the infinity pool, the location is perfect for watching the sun set. The comprehensive breakfast each morning was great. Proximity to the Cascata dos Anjos waterfall and Ponta do Sol is great. The hotel manager was very accommodating and keen to help, and the rooms are cleaned super quickly it's usually already made by the time we finish breakfast. Hotel is quiet so it feels very peaceful and spacious. Hot tub by pool is lovely for sun set.
The apartment is in a great location and is super spacious – we were surprised by how big the place was. My family and I really enjoyed staying at Lidia's place. The view from the balconies is fantastic. Ponta Do Sol has some great restaurants and the the town is very pretty. Communication with the person managing the property was also really good and they were super helpful. The apartment has a secure parking bay so you're not searching for street parking if you rent a car like we did.
Lovely apartment, bright and well equiped, in a great location. Our host Filipa was so nice and welcoming. Right under the appartment there is a great restaurant and bistro - very convenient! - and it also gets lively during summer evenings which is a good thing but early bed goers should take into consideration some amount of noise. The location of Ponta do Sol made it a great spot to explore the southern coast of Madeira. We would definitely recommend this place.
Responsive host, great location, quiet in the upstairs bedroom, even with the restaurant below being open late. Downstairs bedroom might be a bit noisy if the windows were open and the restaurant was noisy, but upstairs no problem.
Look closely at your messages for finding the entrance to the unit. The instructions are clear and easy to follow so long as you look (unlike me hahaha), but the host answered the phone and was able to help.
Breakfast was excellent, lots of choice. The view from the hotel restaurant is amazing, lovely swimming pool with a great view, our room was upgraded so we had a lovely sea view. The staff were all so helpful and the hotel had a great laid back vibe. The food at the restaurant was excellent, everything exceeded our expectations a great end to our holiday, we wish we had booked for longer
We loved the location in the heights of Ponta do Sol, the view is stunning from both terraces. Very quiet area at the end of a steep road. The house has everything that you need, it’s nice, spacious and very comfortable. Rudolf is such a nice host, we loved the little touches and veggies from the garden. We higlhy recommend this place !

I needed to stay in Ponta do Sol and this hotel turned out to be a gem because my room not only had a gorgeous view and balcony, but it was also spacious and private. Plus, the breakfast was excellent and generous, and for dinner the nearby 90 degrees Bar & Grill was perfect. Highly recommend!
The patios were a vocal point for us to be able to look out over the hillside into the ocean from both patios after a long day of touring the island. I enjoyed being able to leave the bedroom window, which had a view of the ocean, open while out and about as there were no insects in April
We had a wonderful stay and we felt right at home! We enjoyed the view and the location which made it easy to visit all parts of the island.
Our host made sure we had everything we needed and yet being very discreet, she is truly amazing!

It’s beautiful. The restaurant, the rooms, the decorations, the garden, the pool, the food, everything is lovely. I think this was one of the best accomodations we’ve ever stayed at. The staff was also impecable, very helpful and professional. Great service during dinner.
This hotel has an awesome location - sunsets here are amazing. Eventough it is a small hotel the variety of food at breakfast was unexpected - everything so delicious, fruit it amazing! Great views and nice stuff!

The location is wonderful! The terrace, overlooking the blooming flowers and the pool, was a great place to hang out or to have breakfast/dinner. Host was very helpful with local tips for the whole island.
