Liked the location as it was quiet by the ocean. The beds were too firm. Bathtub/ shower slippery. Buffet was average. Great live music. Bartender accused us of not paying for drinks, which we had plus we gave a 20Euro tip. Later they apologized but it was embarrassing. Front desk was helpful.

Room and bathroom size were great, absolutely huge bed, location, exceptional friendliness of staff, cleanliness, balcony, quiet AC that worked very well. There were many things we didn't use, though, that no other places we have stayed in Portugal had, so that's great if you are looking for them so we can't include in our review (pool, sauna, bar, etc.).
In the heart of Ponta Delgada, this hotel features a rooftop terrace with panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean, mountains and the city. The marina can be found 1640 feet away.

Location is great! 5 min to the city centre. There is a bakery / pastry shop right next to it and it is open all night (we managed to get some food at 6 AM before going to the airport). The staff is super nice and helpful, and the breakfast was delicious and many options, with cakes that would vary daily. The parking was a great perk considering that outside is all paid.

We've spent 10 days on Sao Miguel - Pico da Pedra. Our experience was, that aroud 6-7 days would have also been enough to explore the island.
On the other hand, it's located in the center of the island - every other major sight can be reached within 40 minutes maximum.
