Really friendly welcome from staff at check-in. We enjoyed a lovely afternoon at the pool and some cocktails before dinner. The hotel offer a free shuttle bus to Tavira but we chose to eat at the Orangea Bistro in the hotel and we were not disappointed as the food was amazing and we had a lovely table overlooking the pool. Breakfast was delicious with a good choice to suit everyone. We didn’t use the Spa on this visit but hopefully we will return and use it in the future.

The staff were lovely and very helpful. The food was delicious with plenty of choice at breakfast and at the evening buffet. The location is excellent, close to the boat that goes to the beach and close to the centre.

Located in a peaceful rural area and set in spacious and well kept grounds, Octant Villa Monte is a calm and comfortable retreat. Beautiful place to stay for some rest, Gardens and surrounding areas well maintained, lots of space for peace, lovely smell of rosemary through. Great size rooms with balcony or terrace. Lovely pool to cool down in. Pedro at the bar was friendly and made great cocktails. Had dinner in the restaurant was beautifully cooked - even got given a birthday cake with a candle for dessert.

The staff were so incredibly helpful,nothing was too much trouble. The location was great, easy walk to the town. Breakfast had a very good selection. The pool was perfect, quiet and relaxing

We found this hotel to be really lovely. Despite some really negative reviews. The staff work really hard and try their best. I agree some are not overly chatty/smiley, but that is because they are very busy The food is good, there are lots of options. Food was well presented and fresh. We used the Grill and Rio restaurant (you got a voucher for 1 visit to each per stay, booking 24 hours before hand) The grill was ok but preferred the other one. The wine was free poor from bottles, not those horrible tap wines you get in some all-inclusive. The cocktails were a little bland/pre mixed, but you could up grade if that is your thing. The pool area is lovely. There are lots of nice seating areas too. We used the boat to the beach, that was really fun. We walked into Cabanas, a lovely little place. We also got a taxi into Tavira. It's worth exploring and costs approximately 15 euro. Rooms are very clean and well serviced. Ours had a shaded balcony in the afternoon/evening. Not facing the pool etc but we could still see the estuary and the sea, so we were happy enough. All in all, we had a superb time. Don't be put off with all the negative comments on other reviews..
