We were lucky to be given a lovely room with a balcony and a view of the castle. Staff were very attentive and breakfast above average, with a good selection of items. Our stay was relaxing and enjoyable.

A beautiful ex-palace with some fantastic rooms and a stunning tower. The town is a marble mining town, so everything is made of marble, very nice. The swimming pool and sun area is clean, tidy and spread out, the experience is one of luxury, which adds to a holiday. There are some great restaurants in town. I wish I had stayed another night.

We loved this property. We were so lucky to find it last minute. The grounds are very well tended and the common areas immaculate. Our room was super clean and comfortable. Paula, our hostess, was lovely, warm and attentive. Breakfast was an excellent variety of hearty and healthy selections. We could not have asked for anything else.
And, the guests were lovely as well!

It was a little way out of Estremoz and Google maps couldn't find the address but I messaged the host in advance and she provided exact GPS coordinates which worked perfectly. Super quiet, well equipped and the back patio was beautiful. Everything worked and the Wifi was good. Host was very responsive.

Beautiful place in Alentejo with wonderful views, very traditional and quiet, watching the stars at night by the pool is a must! The host is very welcoming and staff are very friendly. We had an amazing time and will definitely come back.

Great little town in the Alentejo on the border with Spain. Fantastic market on Saturday morning and the tile museum which is fabulous. There are many wineries in the area and some really good restaurants - Howard's Folly, Merceria Gadanha and the restaurant Gadanha in the hotel.

We loved the town and the efforts gone to celebrate Christmas. We also highly recommend the restaurants we visited and the friendly and helpful staff. In particular the staff at the cafe KIMBO who went out of their way to help when I left my phone there!

Greate place to visit on a weekend, and escaping the agitation of by cities. I recommend being saturday morning in Estremoz and enjoy the market that happens on saturdays until lunch time. In the market you can find many fresh foods. The variety of cheeses is good.

It was a nice town and had a restaurant that we never got around to because it was raining and we ate at the one 50 years from castle reception area. Its a great spot to use as a base as we went to Elvas (great castle and square), Evora, Vila Vicosa from here and returned. You could also do several other towns.
What a beautiful hotel in a beautiful location. We stumbled upon this gem when I was unable to find a hotel in Evora that suited our price and high standards. We ate breakfast in the lovely serene courtyard. The buffet had a wide selection of food and drink. Dinner in the restaurant was delicious and top notch. The view from the comfortable and large bar/lounge are was spectacular.Staff was friendly and helpful. I regret we didn't have time to use the pool.

Massive property! It has pool, and a lot of outdoor area. Breakfast is included and it was good. Maria was very helpful! Location is good too, close to Estremoz and to some of the best vineyards in the area!
The hotel itself in many ways is very beautiful. It has been tastefully furnished and my room was very well presented - other than the TV that did not work,
