Loved everything about Lisbon Surf Hostel. Staff and volunteers were super friendly and the property was kept very clean. It's close to the beach and train station, making it easy to check out the waves of the region. It also had board racks and a place to rinse and dry wetsuits. Probably the best kitchen setup I've seen in a hostel too. I extended my stay many times and will definitely be back soon!

The place is exceptionally clean and quiet. The host Rosa is warm and very welcoming. Makes you feel right at home. The countless treats and coffee tops the cherry. The place is very close to the beach, train and bus station. The restaurant also serves delish meals.

If the reviews state property is not cleaned, it’s not because of the staff, but many of the hostel guests do not pickup after themselves.
I saw Juliana & others clean very well. I saw Juliana works very hard to make sure everything is tidy, neat, organized & sanitized.
The staff energy is exceptional & Juliana stands out. Juliana & the other members work to make you feel comfortable. I absolutely can not say enough good things about this hostel.
I truly did not want to leave because I felt so comfortable.
I know many other guests felt the same way.
If I can. I will definitely return.

A Faded Jewel in need of refreshment BUT you can't take away from the beach and its amenities. Signs of new cafes and restaurants starting up, but the impression is the crowds come from the city anyway so why make a huge effort :-) There is no real centre as we could see, just a linear settlement unlike villages up the Marginal or further in towards Lisbon.

Parts of Carcavelos away from the train line are actually quite nice. It's quite a sleepy little town outside of summer. The main beach is really for surfing not swimming. We were there in September and the water was already too cold. There are some nicer beaches to swim at close by but not really serviced by pubic transport.
It doesn't really have a great number of good restaurants and feels a little bit like a town than the locals commute into the city from.
Probably more of a day trip from Lisbon as opposed to somewhere to base yourself for a large amount of time unless you intend to surf.

A very well situated town for the ones who want to visit...
A very well situated town for the ones who want to visit Lisbon and other tourist attractions. A very good and cheap public transport. Very clean, wide and safe beaches. Possibility to walk along the coastline. Numerous shops and restaurants. Helpful natives. Clean air.
The staff was very friendly and gave clear instructions for how to check in and followed up if everything was okay :-) The apartment was large and nice and had everything that i needed and with a good kitchen also with refrigerator, small freezer, oven, microwave, stove, coffee machine, toaster, kettle, pots & pans etc. It's very clean and was close to where i needed to be, and 5 minutes walk from the most beautiful beach. If going back to Oieras I'd very much like to stay here again :-D
Amazing place with tons of character and very accommodating hosts. The eclectic and tasteful decor was impressively pulled together and we were discovering little thoughtful details throughout our stay. The property provided piece and comfort, and all our needs were met. The location is a short Uber drive to every destination worth visiting - the Carcavelos beaches, Cascais, Sintra, Lisbon. We wished we had booked a few more days as there was definitely more to explore.
Great location approx 15min walk to Carcavelos beach playground which our young kids loved the mix of sand/water with climbing slides and zip lines. On a bus route, and approx 10min walk to oireas train station. The apt was immaculate and well laid out. The apartment is in a residential area so relatively quiet but small mini mart/cafe nearby for daily essentials, supermarket approx 15min walk. We were with 2&4yr old so our walking might be slow!
Very comfortable, beautifully decorated and fully equipped apartment with everything one might need. Which made us feel like at home.
It is just 400 m from a very nice beach (one of the best near Lisbon), nice restaurants and a supermarket. Highly recommended for a family holidays.
The food there at the restaurant was pretty decent. We enjoyed the the fact the hotel was walking distance. We especially loved the restaurants near the hotel. The shopping mall that leads to the hotel was very helpful when it came to things we may have needed.
Perfect location! Plenty of restaurants, cafes, grocery store and beautiful beach all within a minute walk, plus free parking right next to the apartment. We really liked the apartment, it was clean and had great layout for a larger group like ours.
So perfect! The pool and set up is amazing. Lots of space and super comfy beds. Plenty of outdoor space including a patio for the yoga classes. Really recommend Ali's morning vinyasa! The property also has surf classes at the beach.
Amazing apartment supplied with everything needed. The reception was incredible. The location is close to a park, a shopping mall and most importantly the beach. We will definitely be coming back!

Lovely hotel and located very close to the beach and long promenade which was great for walking. Good breakfast every morning with a variety of foods which sets you up for the day.
We most liked the breakfast, the sea view from 7th floor and presence of a pool. The staff was nice and competent. In addition, the short walking distance from the beach.
