The location is excellent - the apartment is on the oceanfront, next to a promenade. There are hardly any cars, so it's pretty quiet and you can fall asleep and wake up to the sound of the ocean. Beach is just accross the promenade. Supermarket is next door. The backyard terrace is huge.

this is very nice area. plenty of beaches and plenty of great food. we travelled around by uber as it is very cheap and renting a car is a bad deal if you planning one short trip a day. We can recommend the Praia de Nossa Senhora da Rocha with beautiful church on the cliff. We also did the motorboat trip from the same beach to see all the caves. Warning, super hot in August. Load plenty of sunscreen!

We are regular visitors to Armação de Pêra with its amazing beaches and fantastic restaurants that serve an array of fresh seafood and quality local wine.
If you want a more lively evening Albufeira is a few minutes away in a taxi with all the usual holiday fare before returning to some tranquility.
The vibe in Armação de Pêra is laid back and the people are warm and friendly. Our only regret is not discovering Portugal sooner but we will atone by visiting this wonderful country as often as we can.

As a family from the UK, we're very aware of the Algarve's...
As a family from the UK, we're very aware of the Algarve's reputation for 'Brits abroad'. And we wanted to stay somewhere less rowdy and more authentically Portuguese. We read that Armação de Pêra is popular with Portuguese visitors, and that the vibe is a lot more chilled and family friendly than e.g. Albufeira. Thankfully, this was absolutely correct – the town had a lovely relaxed atmosphere and everyone was very welcoming. The beach is absolutely stunning and never felt crowded. There's a great choice of restaurants and everywhere is reasonably priced, at least for us who are used to paying GBP. And the vibe at night was very chilled. It also takes only 40 minutes by taxi to get to Faro airport – so it really is ideal if you have a young family. The town itself is not the prettiest, as it's mostly modern apartment blocks. But there's enough charm and character along and near the promenade to make it pleasant to stroll around. And, honestly, you're going to want to spend all your time on the beautiful beach anyway.

The town is big but most houses and some shops seemed closed (late October, early November) but you can find anything you need and it's a good location to travel both East and west fo the Algerve.

I stay here regularly, its a great town a mix of local and visiting people, but nothing like Albufeira, the beach is perfect for running, swimming.
The Market is wonderful.
The highlight of an trip here is a walk or bike ride on the coast, I recommend in a westerly direction towards Benagil

Apartment was clean and very well equipped, also air conditioned inlcuding bedrooms. Short walk to the beach, shops, restaurants, bars, including Bistro 176 and bar near kids playground. Some lovely reasonably priced restaurants Pera Bistro, Olivemar, Italian, Palm Beach.

The pool was a good size - it was pretty busy but we could usually get sun loungers and there was space to swim. Lovely beaches were only a short walk away. The Sweet Shop offered good basic food. Any issues with the apartment were fixed very quickly. Although the accommodation was basic, it provided good value for money and was comfortable. Definite plus that there was a bath as well as a shower! Lots to do in the area surrounding the hotel.
We have been coming to Portugal for many years. Sometimes boutique B&B, other times a villa, just for the two of us. Chose this villa for the location, as we know the area very well (& most of the mid & western Algarve). Villa was perfect, with everything you would need. Host was very helpful and friendly.
Clean and well presented rooms in a really great location (it's a very short walk to the beach without the noise of the promenade (ideal for us!)
The staff were really helpful, even with an 11pm check in.
The AC worked adequately.
If we come back to Portugal, we would be happy staying here again.
The breakfasts were exceptional. The terrasse of Atlantico, overlooking the ocean and cliffs, is stunning. The breakfast consists of a buffet and À la carte menu, of the highest standards and were the very best we had in Portugal. Very inventive vegan or vegetarian options as well.
Everything was perfect ,it was an amazing experience .

and the spa they have was the best spa we ve
