So well laid out - inside spacious, cool bedrooms and living room and great sized kitchen which was fully stocked with crockery, utensils and cooking implements. Outside, with the door opening onto a small sheltered seating area. Then just a few steps to a fantastic area with the pool to one side and a covered bbq, seating area and dining area which works so well giving shade and comfort near to the pool.
The property is very clean and very well maintained and everything you could need is provided, including 2 types of coffee machine!!
Angelina and Jaime, the hosts, live nearby and are so friendly and helpful but respect your privacy, just making themselves available when you need them to translate or suggest places to visit.
Finally, it is worth saying that you are in a small town, the grounds were very quiet, relaxing and peaceful. No planes, no other tourists around, no traffic (although that also means no tourist attractions, e.g. not lots of bars and restaurants in walking distance). You will need a car at some stage.

Very good location, the rooms were really spacious, with beautiful vintage furniture. Everything was spotless, super clean. The staff was really nice, specially Luís Agudo, who took the time to explain the history of the place. A place to come back to, for sure.

The most horrible place; we ended up leaving without stay. It’s dated back to 1800s; smelled old and moldy and…..
Pedestrian friendly town center. Great views from an absolutely beautiful park by the castle. It's overlooked as a good tourist destination. A new museum has just opened that is definately worth seeing.

We arrived on a Sunday evening and our host kindly phoned round to find a restaurant open and book dinner for us. He organised a taxi to the airport for us the following day and made us feel that nothing was too much trouble. Jose was very warm and welcoming and we thorough.ly enjoyed the time we spent there. Would highly recommend him and his lovely Quinta.
Our 4th stay here. Abrantes is not blessed with accommodation options and this is one of the best and great value for money. The location is about a central as you can get. Might be tricky for parking but for those on public transport it's smack in the middle of the historic centre... although be warned, public transport in Abrantes is a bit challenging.
That was a hidden gem in our stay in Abrantes. I wasn't expecting much and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the facilities and the room. It has a very nice bar and restaurant area to relax after a day of enjoying the Alentejo and the room had a very comfortable bed and very nice views to the city.
It was a wonderful overnight stay for our family. Very friendly staff, overall cleanliness, great view of the river. If we are in Abrantes again, we will definitely book the same place again.
The hotel is like a little Castle. silent property around. stepping out of the room one can sit under the trees, enjoy a drink and feel being anywhere in a different world
