Toruń is such a lovely city! Absolutely walkable, beautiful architecture, great athmosphere, a blend of history, culture, art, cuisine, you name it. I highly recommend all of the museums. I personally visited the Townhall museum (if you want to go to the tower, just get a combined ticket for the townhall as well, it is absolutelly worth it), the Gingerbread museum, the Fortress museum, Tony Halik's & the museum of art of the Far East in the House under the Star, and the House of Nicolas Copernicus.
I also loved just strolling through the streets and on the river bank, and at night I went to the bridge to see the citylights reflected in the river.
I think this is a great weekend spot for anyone - solo travellers, couples, families, seniors, just anyone. I highly recommend this Polish gem to everyone.

Torun is a city for people who like to enjoy the taste of decor, architecture and style, especially Gothic. It is small but atmospheric, the staff in restaurants, hotels etc. is very polite and helpful in everything. Fantastic city for 2-3 days.

A beautiful small town that retains that medieval feel. There are quite a few attractions and museums, but many are a bit overpriced for what little is inside them. The gingerbread is amazing, the many choices of restaurants is welcome, and everything is within a very short walking distance. There is quite a bit of live music too, from jazz to punk, that can be found in the many small bars and venues in the town. Toruń is definitely a great place to stop for a night or two.

I visit Torun regularly as I have family there. It's a gorgeous old town but quite small. Many different museums etc and the planetarium is a must. A very wide selection of restaurants and other food related outlets. People very helpful. River promenade is usually gorgeous but there was some major work going on in July when I visited last and that hadn't been completed this visit ( Nov) so the river view wasn't as spectacular as in the past. In July, I chose a hotel with a river view which was actually a waste of money as the view was spoiled by the work. This time I went for a more central hotel and had a view of the stunning top of the gingerbread museum. The architecture in Torun is spectacular. One of my favourite places which I would still visit even if I didn't have family nearby. Be aware that as Torun is old, many of the traditional hotels don't have lifts! Not easy to carry a large or heavy suitcase upstairs in some hotels!! Excellent public transport links to other towns and a huge out of town shopping complex at Rubinkowo. Driving is usually straightforward as the city is well signposted but the promenade works have caused some road closures.

Absolutely charming little town.
Absolutely charming little town. We were inspired to visit it after reading Schatten der Welt, which took place there. Super clean, friendly, amazing restaurants everywhere. Huge pedestrian zones. Beautifully restored. Puts Berlin to shame.

Torun has plenty of interesting architecture and history to explore. Also, lots of great restaurants and pastry/coffee shops. It's small enough to get in and out of quickly. Also, not taken over by tourists yet. The locals' festivals and traditional celebrations are easy to join and enjoy.
This hotel is managed with love, I have to say…the roses in the vases are real…lots of real flower bouquets in the breakfast room, breakfast indeed is sophisticated and excellent. Since there is no escalator because it is a charming old building the manager carried my heavy suitcase up and down the stairs, arranged and packed the taxi ready to go in the morning.
Restaurant Is a 5 star place.

Hotel has small beautiful rooms but extremely uncomfortable beds. Cover on the bed is made of very wired fabric that made me question it cleanliness.
Everything else was excellent.
Superb hotel. Great mix of historic and modern. Lovely rooms. Close to everything and river only a few steps away. Lots of communal areas with toys, books and a stuffed bear! Breakfast selection great. The individually cooked eggs and bacon especially. I would go back tomorrow if I could.
The staff was so helpful. The receptionist was kind enough to allow me to use the washing machine for free and their cloth dryer. Everything was super clean. The room was almond empty so I felt like it was a hotel room not a hostel. All the love and respect to the staff.
It's a wonderful hotel in the Old Town, on a quaint street, with a lovely view. My room was up under the roof and it was absolutely lovely. The breakfast was good.
A little gingerbread cookie (a local specialty) was waiting for me on the bed - a very nice touch!

The breakfast was very good, offering a wide variety of options. Although the hotel is not located directly in the heart of the old town, it is just a short walk away. The staff at both the restaurant and the front desk were very friendly.
Everything what we need is already there like from bathroom, bed, and the kitchen. It was clean and organize. They respond immediately if you have any questions. I can rate the service and the property like a hotel already.
