Picturesque mountain town with beautiful old town, tenement houses in the market square, a lot of green areas, and historical sites.Bear in mind it is hilly so getting from one street to other might involve several ascends and descends.

A historic city with a lovely old town square (currently under some renovation), a Hapsburg era hunting palace and pleasant grounds with castle ruins. Interesting to go back and forth across the bridge to the "twin city" on the Czech side and to have easy access to restaurants and cafes on both sides. It's also an easy day trip to drive to the Wielicka Salt Mine and underground cathedral near Krakow.

Like anywhere there are all sorts of people.
Like anywhere there are all sorts of people. Some are very friendly and interesting while others are cold and lacking culture. Without the language I found it difficult to get people to show their friendlier side. The main road up to the town square has been perpetually worked on for many years.

Gorgeous, spacious apartment in an old building above a bank. Good shower, excellent wifi, comfy sofa! Brilliant location on the high street - just a few minutes on foot from the castle and the main square, and about 15 minutes from Sportpark, which hosts the Cieszyn parkrun on Saturdays. There's even a music venue in the basement, but it won't disturb you. The Czech railway station is about 25 minutes' walk away. Owner was kind enough to text clear instructions on how to get into the flat.
A nice two bedsit set in an old town area of Cieszyn. Excellent location for a walk around Cieszyn / Česky Tešin, close to the centre square with restaurants and cafes. All you need for a local getaways either from Polish or Czech side: simple yet comfy.
Excellent place to stay at whether you are on the road and need to stop for a night or even for a longer stay. Hotel meets all expectations, highly recommend it and will definitely stay again.
Well equipped, super clean and perfectly located. Public parking lot nearby. Worth to consider if you are looking for a nice and convenient place to stay in Cieszyn.
